I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life. The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans. 0 Richard1954
Jimmy, Not sure what kind of help you need, but if its for adapted housing, there are two ways to go.. one is HISA which is administered by you local VA medical Center, what you will need is a prescription from your doctors for say a ramp, or adapted bathroom, all veterans qualify for this program service connected veterans can receive more assistance than non service connected veterans. But again the doctor needs to specify what your needs are. If HISA doesn't cover your needs... there is the adapted housing grant its about $85K but it requires you to have specific ratings. see the attached information. https://www.benefits.va.gov/homeloans/adaptedhousing.asp Circular 26-06-7 Specially adapted housing.pdf Handbook 1173-14 HiSA 18Apr2008.pdf ShrekTheTank 1 I am not a lawyer so take my opinions with a grain of salt... If I had listened to the nay sayers, I would never have acheived any ratings after I was awarded TDIU in 1999. Now I have not one but two 100% ratings, a TDIU and 4 SMC awards !
