Question

so i have contacted dr bash and dr anaise. i just cant afford their prices.

has anyone had any luck with the below

or does anyone have other suggestions. i just cant afford the out of pocket expense these dr's are asking. if they are so sure of their work, why cant they do like lawyers and ask for % after winning a case? the thought of paying someone 10K for a chance to win and then loose- i just cant even imagine.

You are doing the right thing by first asking around. I wouldn't spend money online for these kind of services without first having a couple of people indicating they are legitimate. You might want to check with VSO's in your area also. Sometimes they may know a doc nearby who might charge a reasonable price. Just keep in mind that even with some of the more well-known docs like Bash and Anaise, regardless of IMO providers, I assume they will only write a nexus if the evidence warrants it.

That's a good point, but they are charging for their time and expertise. It's just like going to a plastic surgeon. They will charge a set fee for the service, but they cannot guarantee the results will be perfect.

When I first started going to VA, I made a few doctors frustrated and confused.  At that time I was being treated for multiple conditions with no relief.  It was just by chance (maybe a setup) but the chief of rheumatology was walking by my PCP office.  She asked him to take a look at me and he decided to take my case.  A few years in treatment and he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia.   Be consistent and make sure you get to the VAMC when your symptoms are acting up.  Ask your PCP to see what ever specialist you think you need to see and if he/she doesn't listen then get a new PCP and ask them. I never had to pay for an IMO.  If you have private insurance (Medicare) you can do the same thing.  Other than keeping your medications/prescriptions current PCP are there to help and refer.

my OSA dr refuses to assist me with my how i got sleep apnea. refuses to fill out DBQ and refuses to "speculate" on the cause of my OSA. she says she is not allowed to assist with veterans claims but to treat them. i tried to see an outside dr instead and they told me i would have to start paying for my CPAP supplies if i stopped seeing the VA dr. so i am stuck.

I concur with @pete992 on this one, I myself have only ever had VA doctors write IMO's, fill out DBQ's etc. If your OSA dr won't do it, you could probably speak to your PCP about your situation (MYHEALTH.GOV SECURED MESSAGING IS GREAT FOR RELAYING INFO BACK AND FORTH!) and what you're trying to do, and that you want to request an alternative OSA to review your info, and write an opinion

It's my personal opinion that a veteran shouldn't have to seek outside avenues for something that can/is provided by the VA and alleviates out of pocket expenses for your service issues (connected or pending connection)

Dr. Ellis is a MD and if you can find a cheap flight to OK than it would be half as much than Dr. Anaise.

Valor has been posted before and she is NOT a doctor. You will regret paying for snake oil. ATM I can't find that thread I posted in where we ripped that website/Britney to shreds.

edit - with another BS marketing you can sell sand in the desert as sandwiches. And that's what Valor is snake oil. Congratulations on posting here instead of falling for snake oil.
