I received documents from the BVA (dated 23 May 2022) and VARO (dated 31 May 2022) explaining the details of the Grant. I called DFAS today and they don't have a request for an Audit from the VA. Can this mean the VA will do the recalculation and deposit what ever Retro I'm due into my bank account? Best Regards Chiefhouse00 Greetings UPDATE: I checked VA.gov yesterday and it said that VA completed the Implementation Decision on 21 Jun 2022 and I should receive a letter within 10 days. Seems like things are moving along. I should get my retro pay within a month or so. Best Regards Chiefhouse00 blahsaysme2u

I has very happy to see that deposit. I haven't received the package/letter yet from the VA explaining how the audit error worksheet calculation was done. Again, thanks for you assistance in helping me through this process. Best Regards Chiefhouse00
0 GulfWarVet1990
Congratulations. Not too long ago I received a hefty retro pay dating back 2003, PTSD NOD was unadjudicated along with other conditions. PTSD adjudicated - went from 30 - 50% as far back as 2003. Other NOD conditions (environmental hazard) eventually denied, I appealed to BVA. Very unexpected, yet grateful. As many have said before me - Save all of your paperwork. No audit but a recalculation of the difference of your benefits. The RO will determine your retro pay by calculating what they owe you minus what they paid you, then pay you the difference. Keep an ey

I have seen timing from just a few days, to a year or longer. My advice is to get a hobby, such as fishing, or something else you love. There is an old adage, "a watched teapot never boils".
