It's fundraising time again...
You all have been fantastic in your support for HadIt.com Veteran to Veteran. I am grateful that you found HadIt.com and that it has provided value to you.
I hate sending these emails out more than you probably hate receiving them. Alas, it's time to pay the bills again. A few unexpected expenses and revenue dipping has caused us to need your generosity if you can spare it. Always take care of you and yours first.
We were attacked by malware, and while I was able to keep it from affecting your ability to use the site. It ravaged our rankings on Google, which caused a massive revenue drop. I’ve been working with a programmer to resolve this, it’s almost finished, but it has been a long, expensive and difficult process. This was a deliberate attack designed to reduce our rankings on Google, cause our revenue to drop and potentially put us out of business. It is very difficult to recover from.
Being a one-woman shop presents various challenges. Funding the site from my pocket, with subscriptions, financial contributions, and advertising revenue has allowed me to keep everything up and running till now.
I canceled monthly subscriptions that help me run the site but aren't mandatory, which helped, but not enough.
HadIt.com has been around for 25 years. I want to keep us up and open for the next generation of veterans, perhaps your sons and daughters. Can you help?

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.
I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.
The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.
