(I AM NOT A RATER- I work the claims BEFORE they are rated, annotating medical evidence in your records, VA and Legal documents,  and DA/DD forms- basically a paralegal/vso/etc except that I also evaluate your records based on Caluza and try to justify and schedule the exams that you go to based on whether or not your records have enough in them to warrant those)

I plugged the numbers you gave into the disability calculator provided by VA:

https://www.va.gov/disability/about-disability-ratings/

They gave me the same answer you have:  43 percent which rounds down to 40 percent.

However, dont even think of contacting them at least  until you have received the official letter,  as one or more of your other ratings may have increased.

It would almost serve the VA right for you to keep the extra 10 percent, then make them "appeal" for a long process of 5 to 10 years to get their money back, even if it is correct and we are not missing something.

I agree that this boils down to 43 which is a 40% rating but were you already service connected for any other disability?

Read over your decision several times to see if you missed something, one (1) more 10% rating would put you at the 50% rating.

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.
