The VA uses personality disorder to deny benefits earned by Veterans. Its going to be a hard sell that anyone who has PTSD has a persoanlity disorder but I look for the VA to try it.

Could they be using a symptom for TBI(personality disorder) to deny PTSD claims?

If you have an increase in TBI claims, there would be an increase of reported personality disorders overlaping with PTSD claims. But they shouldn't be alowed to punish Vets for it.

If the PTSD vets "act out" by going awol or anything like that you can bet the military will give them bad paper if they can get away with it. Substance abuse is a major element of PTSD and if it is drugs the military will go with the PD and the bad conduct discharge.

I would give you odds that the military is doing workups and histories that make it even harder for a veteran to get the diagnosis changed to a service connectable diagnosis after discharge.
