  2. I received a phone call late Monday evening letting me know that I had two exams one for gerd and the other for planters fasciitis. Both exams are non VA appointments. has anyone gone to these exams and if so what do should I expect. Thanks
  3. March of 2018 I had surgery to have a cyst removed from my throat . I was never diagnosed with gerd however, I noticed that ever since I returned from Kandahar I began having serious allergies to Mold, cedar etc.. It has gotten to the point that I get bloody noses and is affecting my sleep. I made my doctor aware of this but all he could come up with is keep issuing me allergies medication. He suggested that I request for an increase since I was rated at a 0%. Today 06/4/18 I had a Dr App for with the Va for and it was for an increase. The Doctor went through a series of questions and some minor test. The doctor made it clear that I had obstructed nasal passage on both sides of my nose. I am sure what all this means, but what I do know is that its is effecting my sleep. I do have sleep apnea however , the machine isn't help me at all. Please someone help. Also, I noticed that I have VA FORM 21-0960N-4, on my ebenefits to complete. Who completes this .
  4. I recently received an increase from 70% to 90%. I submitted my claim in july 18 2015 and over the weekend I checked my ebenefits and noticed that I was awarded the increase. Does anyone know if I will be entitled to back pay for the four months it took to get my increase.
  5. I just received an increase from 70% to 90%. I have not received my brown envelope yet. My question is will I be entitled to receive back pay?.
  6. Thanks for the info. I checked the AB8 letters and nothing has changed I guess I was taken by surprise by how fast it moved. My initial claim took a year to get awarded the 70%.
  7. Two weeks ago I had my second C&P Exam it lasted for about an hour. My wife was allowed to be in the room with me which made it a lot easier for me at least. The meeting lasted about an 1.5hrs. Today I checked my ebennies and noticed that it has been updated to preparing for decision. Is this a bad sign that its moving this fast. I am rated at 70% already the appointments were for increase and addition to my sleep apnea. if anyone can give me some advise I would really appreciate it.
  8. Hello, Earlier today I had my exam for sleep apnea and allergies with a QTC family doctor. The doctor asked me a series of questions in regards to the severity of my conditions. The entire exam took literally no more then 10 min. Before leaving he mention if I knew if sleep apnea was caused by PTSD....I wasn't sure how to answer the question. I simply replied that their was case law indicating the connection of sleep apnea being linked to PTSD. He said he would have to do some research to give his opinion. Has anyone had this happened? It seemed like he had already made up his mind and was more concerned on getting through all his other patients.
  9. the place is called QTC in San Antonio. Same place I had my initial claim back in November 2013
  10. Morning, I need help with form anyone! I am currently rated at 70% I recently resubmitted a claim for Sleep apnea, allergies, asthma. I received a call today asking me about an up coming appointment in September. Since I am already rated at 70% what is this C&P exam going to be about? I had a sleep study done and received a cpap machine a week ago. Any advise would be appreciated.
  11. I need help understanding how the claim process works... Back in July 2013, after completing 5 deployments, I was awarded 70% for PTSD. Upon getting out of active duty i became civilian law enforcement officer, I began to have major issues with work. Anger issues, missing work and when I was at work I was on a mission to get myself hurt. I have since lost my job and was unemployed all of 2014. I have managed to get myself somewhat back on track however i haven't been able to be gainfully employed since 2013. When i first submitted my claim i was awarded PTSD but denied Sleep apnea. Over the past few years i have been on numerous meds. On march of this year (2015) the VA sent me to another sleep study and again i was informed that i had sleep apnea. I have since submitted a new claim using the EBenefits but i am unsure if i have enough evidence to be awarded a higher percentage. If anyone could spare some advice
