Asbestos Award
http://www.va.gov/vetapp07/files1/0702263.txt I have only one main asbestos claim I worked on-dont have status yet- This shows a little of the work both these claims entailed. In my case the vet never smoked but this vet hewre did since service yet clearly that evidence supported his disability was due to asbestos exposure in the USAF. Smoking or handling potential asbestos after service is one way VA try to deny these claims. Also by saying that the disability is not asbestos related-when good medical evidence shows that it is.

Ao Unit List
This is the initial Unit list from NVLSP- 2003: http://www.nvlsp.org/Information/ArticleLi...O-aoinkorea.htm Since then in the VBM 2006 they have added: Division Reaction Force (4-7 Cavalry -CAC Counter Agent Company) Also Field Artillery Signal and Engineers supplied as support personnel. Also the VBM cites another AO Korean vet-awarded - NHL due to AO -BVA Decision 98-17647. As long as the vet's unit and his actual duties put him into close proximity to the "swath" which I described here before neart the DMZ- where the actual spraying was done-within the spraying dates--- and the vet can prove this- the vet-with presumptive AO disability-can succeed o…

Foot Drop-brace
VA clinic for DMII foot check. The NP that did the exam is making a recommendation for my husband to have a foot brace for drop foot. SHe said it would be up to his VA primary doctor to coordinate the brace/fitting etc. What follow-up do you recommend for us to do? Does this make a difference for PN or for SMC and his VA claim? Any advise from those who are curently wearing this type of brace?
