Disability Awards And Current Employment Connection
Somewhere I have read that disability award ratings are connected to a veterans 'ability' to work and or support thier family. Is it possible that this statement rings more true than not? Meaning if a veteran worked occasionally as a temp, its inconsistent and not considered long term employment. However, if a veteran could work permanantly part time or full time at a job with salary/benefits, would the disability award be a tad different, even less? Thanks, just trying to figure out how things work. cg

Is This A 1151 Claim Or Just A Secondary Condition
I've been taking antidepressants for years. The antidepressants are anticholorengeic which cause urine retention and reduced urine stream. I've told different doctors of the problems but they have continued to prescribe different meds that cause this problem. Now even when I'm not taking the antidepressants I still have the urinary problems. I seen a private urologist , he did a scope and a flow test. My residule in my bladder is over 200cc and my flow is slow. Any residule over 150cc is a 30% rating. He said I might need to do self catheterizations. He doesn't see in physical reasons for my problems such as enlarged prostate. strictures or infection. If the cause of this…

Looking For Help
I have been reading the posts in this forum for several weeks now and find a strong membership with a great deal of knowledge. I am hoping someone here can help me. I am SC for peripheral neuropathy and pernicous anemia. I was diagnosed earlier this year with sleep apnea and have found some indications that it could be connected to pernicious anemia. The VA provided a CPAP machine in January but I don't believe any of the references I have found would standup to a VA evaluation. I would like to file for an increase based on the sleep apnea but am not certain as to how I should proceed. I recognize that some of you here have sleep apnea and I am certainly interested …

I was wondering if i qualify for the special monthly compensation rate since i will be getting a prostesis in my knee. I am only 34 years old. I have talked with other people who have had the same knee surgery and recieved the SMC rate and others that have not. Does anyone know the criteria for qualifing for this or where i can find it?

New (news) Rlease About Veterans Service Comission
Greetings, This is the latest release from VAwatchdog.org. I varified the story by contacting Rep: Evans office. God bless you all! The fight is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bound4Heaven Vets’ Commission Chair gets OK to Study Social Security Benefits SHORT HEAD: Vets’ Commission SSDI Study by Larry Scott General Terry Scott asked Congress to interpret its own law defining the charter of the Vet’s Commission. Unbelievably, and unconstitutionally, four key Members of Congress gave Scott the OK to study vets who get Social Security disability benefits and VA compensation. Scott’s goal is an offset, a reduction, in vets’ benefits. …
