  1. Yeah, my uncle went earlier this month to get guass? removed from his knee that the VA left in there when he had knee surgery done. Its a bunch of BS that prisoners and welfare junkies have more rights and better care than we do. What makes a 18yr old girl with no GED, 3+ kids by 3+ baby daddy, never worked a day in her life better than a vet? Or a convicted rapist in prison getting better care than a vet. Pisses me off.

There is a lawyer out there ready to sue whoever for you after an injury BUT we can get injured in service, medical mal-practice, ect and all we get if we are lucky is a medical discharge and a long fight with the VA to get compensated. WHY does a murder/rapist get a lawyer and we arn't allowed one until we get denied?

  2. Had my PTSD C&P for IU today. It was different. 2 hours long, lots of questions, and a 354 true/false form. It was a little odd. He asked me to describe each one of my family members including my 2 month old son. Asked me what type of shows/pc games I played. As usual I felt like I was being tested and trying to be caught in a lie or something. The questions were like, "whats your favorite type of PC game?" "what PC game is your favorite?" "What is the best part about that PC game?" The funny thing is a lot of the true/false questions actually fit me. Like if I make sexual jokes or find myself referencing normal things to sex, or how do I do waiting in line or having someone cut in line... Well I'll cross my fingers for a IU rating.

  3. Hello to All,

I am a female veteran who served from 04-07. I did one tour in Iraq, worked QRF and experienced MST. I don't want to go into detail due to my illness. I was medboarded even though I did not want to get out. I was stationed in Ft.Carson at that time their Psych Unit was being investigated for mistreating patients who had signs of PTSD. It was a painful time in my life which still angers me. When I got medboarded I was not told about any benefits I just got a one way ticket home. I went to the VA and was told to file a claim. I received 50% for ptsd and 10% lower back pain. I was told by my Psych at the VA to file for an increase since it is impossible for me to obtain and keep a job due to my meds which include, Lithium, Celexa, Valium, Abilify, Restoril and many more. I had a 2nd C&P and my rating was raised to 80%, 70 for PTSD, 10% for lower back pain, 10% migraines. My Psych at the VA advised me to file for TDIU and I did in Jan 2010. When I call the VA I was told it is still in the developmental phase even though my claim is an established claim and I have 2 letters from 2 different VA Psych's stating I cannot work. It's been a Year now and still nothing. I will soon be homeless now and feel hopeless. It seems none cares and they wonder why the suicide rate is so high among veterans. If anyone has any advice please share it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I Noticed that after I got awarded 80% the VA seemed to take my situation less seriously. Like 80% is going to make me better just because I get more money. IDK how long IU claims take but mine has been open less than three months and I have my final C&P on the 31st. The VA isn't no where near perfect but I am glad we have the va.

  4. On e-benefits my claim for IU has finally went to the under review which is after the claim received statues. How long does a claim for IU take?

I'm still trying to get better and been really tempted to try the temp services again for work, but I been told that one day of work would mess up my IU claim and that I need to stop and think about if it is worth trying to work at a temp service and passing on IU.

After thinking about it I feel that IU is my best course of action. What would you guys and gals do? Work when you can or go for IU? My last job was over a year ago and couldn't get myself to walk through the doors to work.

  5. COMODO is very good. you can get anti virus, firewall, malware protection, disk encryption, system cleaner, email scanner, and other nice software for free. The only dif between free and prem is customer support and I think some advanced features like running your browser threw their DNS.

  6. Microcenter has better deals than bestbuy. I got my wife a i3, 4gigs of ddr3 1333, 320GB hdd, built in mic/cam, and some other stuff like HDMI for 440 dollars. 4 gigs of ram is more than enough for the average user.

IDK if they still do but I got an i5 2500k, 129.99 motherboard, 8gigs of ddr3 1333 for 300 dollars with microcenter's deal on the 2500k + motherboard combo deal.

  7. My old VSO laughed at me and said there was no way I would get SCed for being "roughed up on the playground." Her words. Well I got a new VSO, stayed on top of my claim and won the first time.

The other forum, Yuku veteran?, did not have a very warm welcome for MST and I had many of the mods, major posters telling me I had no case. DONT ever let someone get to you that says you have no case. You DO have a case.

LP, there are lots of people that care but can't post or don't know about these forums. Stick to treatment, don't let your case expire and you'll win.

  8. You should sit down with your VSO and get together any evidences that hasn't been sent in and send it. No you can't get comp for more than one mental health issue; however, I think you should get SCed/rated for each one because you never know which one is going to get you the higher rating and which one has an easier time getting secondary conditions SCed.

If you read over my topic, I got SCed, you'll gain more faith in your claim. IDK how bad your depression is but I'd go for the PTSD secondary to personal assault.

Did you fill out the standard ptsd claim form or the one that says secondary to assault?

Did you complete and send in a stressor letter?

  9. LOL....thanks....

Just called DAV and they said traditionally that means they awarded something....

It will take 8 weeks for mail to reach me in remote China....

I am not sure I can stand the suspense.....

Yeah the suspense is hard. I think they granted it for you. Heck you have way more evidence then I do and I got granted. One day at a time.

  10. From my take on it yes. They wouldn't tell me either way until I called back with the facts in my hands. Don't worry to much. The first time I called the lady made it sound like I got denied. She said, "Oh...... I'm soo sorry but you'll have to wait for it in the mail and read over everything to understand."

  11. Thanks cool breeze. I don't think I could handle being broken down helpless.

thanks for the links USMC. 2009 caliber, they are really good cars. We drive a 95 buick regal right now lol. I love the 3600 engine in it. They never break with good upkeep. I'd love to have a truck like my father in law. A ford 2500 extended cab with v8 turbo cummins engine. Little to big for us though. Crappy gas mileage....

IDK the car choices is vast and I hate making big decisions lol.

  12. lol thank you. I'll have to google that lol.

I really can't express how this has mentally changed me. Knowing that there was enough evidence from in service to grant it makes me feel more real. Like before I always had this feeling of people looking at me and saying liar. Now I can push those feelings out because I know there is evidence and it was enough for even the RO to say yes.

  13. To late lol. I cleaned his carpet again, rewashed all his baby cloths, rewashed his blankets, and sat in his room looking over everything. I put up a little window x-mas tree with lights in his window. I hope he isn't scared of it. I hope he doesn't mind the scent of Resolve carpet cleaner. I high wash the carpet a few more times with just hot water to remove the resolve smell.
