  1. Did you check your AB8 letters?

    Shyne-I

I just checked eBenefits this morning and claim status changed to "Preparation for Notification" With dates of 7/4/2014 to 11/29/2014.

Yesterday status was "Preparation for Decision" with dates of 6/28/2014 to 12/31/2014. Strange.

  2. Brown envelope received, 100% disability rating confirmed, T&P. Rating will go back to 1 Nov 09 when I retired, increased from 90%. No movement on the retropay yet. I have seen everything from the retropay being paid the same time as the decision to a couple of months. Houston VA is hard to figure out. Will standby for the deposit....the heavy lifting is done.

Congratulations on the win! Sorry you had to go through everything you did to get what you deserve.

  3. if this message popped up, was some of your claims being revaluated or new claims filed when this popped up?

or if u have a pendding claim and this has not popped up. Reason im asking is I have several claims pending and im at 60 percent as far as last claims were approved, but I think they may have approved some more, and I havent been notified because they are still working some of the claims.

What Do We Still Need From You? Your Attention is Needed

You may be entitled to compensation at the 100 percent rate if you are unable to secure and follow a substantially gainful occupation because of your service-connected disabilities. If you believe you qualify, complete, sign, and return the enclosed VA Form 21-8940, Veterans Application for Increased Compensation Based on Unemployability.

    Hi 63Sierra,

I had this on my claim. If you mentioned that you could not work because of service connected injuries or illnesses they will automatically request that you fill out the form.

  4. How due I obtain the c & P results from the va. I had the c & p exam for ptsd done at qtc. Ive seen that you can go request it at your local va office but I live far from one.

You can fax over a written request or you can send a written request by certified mail. If you call the Toll Free number they have a recording on how to request records for your exams or files.

  5. Congratulations Private Bryan!! Glad you got your increase...If you didn't submit the evidence of your inability to work, the VA would not have inferred a TDIU claim. If you made a statement that you were no longer able to work because of your service connected disabilities that should have inferred a claim for TDIU and if they didn't you should be able to file a NOD on the fact that they did not sympathetically evaluate your claim because if they would have, they would have sent you a development letter and told you to fill out the online application for TDIU. But then again, with it being a FDC claim, I don't know if they would suggest that you submit more information because that would have taken it out of FDC status, JMHO. Maybe someone else will have more information or a better suggestion for you. Happy for you anyway :)

  6. Thank you all,and yes for seemingly stuck in neutral for so long it's now moving. Went to Notification today. So it moved Friday, yesterday, then today. Been through this once so I know it's not wise to even try and guess but I never seem to avoid getting that feeling deep down inside, like"oh, no! It's moving!! What does that mean??? Is it bad??" Anyway thanks again and I hope yours moves right along soon. Congrats on ssdi, I filed September 24 and still no word!

Good luck!! Don't forget to check your AB letters.

  7. Hogchick and ncjoe1970,

I actually filed my SSDI clam in April 2012 but I hadn't worked since September 26, 2009. I filed once before in January 2010 but, I didn't provide the medical evidence because I didn't want to believe that I could no longer work at the age of 38!! I was denied the first time so I got a lawyer for the reconsideration and was denied once again!! My hearing was August 7, 2013, I called the 800 number and was told that my case had moved really fast from hearing to decision to payment processing! My retropayment was deposited in my checking account on September 6, 2013!! and they paid me from a year before my filing date April 2011. They judge found me disable since October 2009. I didn't have to wait the 5 months to get my first payment because I was disable since 10/09. If the judge found you disable November 2013, you would have to wait until after March 2014(5months) to be eligible for April 2014 and you would receive your payment for April in May. You will receive your payment on a Wednesday, which Wednesday depends on your birthday. The 1st thru the 10th is the 2nd week of the month. The 11th thru the 20th is he 3rd week of the month, and the 21st thru the 31st is the 4th Wednesday of the month. I don't understand why if you filed in September they didn't fine you disabled until November unless you or whoever told you meant 2012 instead of 2013, or unless your last day of work wasy October 31, 2013???...

  8. Shyne,

    You will be OK.

Whatever hasn't been worked out correctly will still go to BVA.

    You will be OK.

Somehow your needs have been met all this time, even if you are barely

making it - you have made it this far.

You will continue to do whatever you must . . .

from now until your dying day.

    However it works out

    YOU . . . will be OK.

Lets just keep waiting it out for now.

    You will be OK.

Thank you so much Carlie for the reassurance....My faith waivered for a moment but I know that fear is not of God. But thank you all for the kind words and I will update when there's movement! :)

  9. Hello Hadit family,

I need reassurance from you all right now.... I have managed to keep my case at the RO with a reconsideration, a NOD, and a Reopen; how this was possible without it moving to BVA.... I guess it would be a good thing if I finally get SC for Fibromyalgia and my secondaries. It just scares me because it shows that I still have a formal appeal in ebenefits but it showing still at RO and the appeal was for Fibromyalgia. I was sent an IRIS response stating that I would need to either drop the appeal of Fibromyalgia or let it be process in the reopened claim dated 9/18/2013. Just to refresh memories, my original claim was filed 7/11/2012; I was denied 4/10/2013; I sent in a notice of disagreement, but I specified that I disagreed with the C&P examiner's opinion and the fact that she wasn't a medical doctor or a specialist in Rheumatology and that I wanted a new exam, but of course that was discounted. I submitted N&M evidence so they classified it as a reconsideration. I was denied again on 9/11/2013 and given a SOC. I submited more evidence and didn' get a response, so I filed a formal appeal on 11/15/2013. On 12/10/2013, I received a letter stated that I was previously denied all of my contentions and that the appeal period had expired, therefore I needed to submit N&M evidence in order to reopen my claim. Of course this was crazy to me, but as requested I submitted more N&M evidence and it sat as a reopened claim from 9/18/2013 to under review on 12/19/2013 to Prep for decision on 3/18/2014. Oh forgot to mention that I also filed for TDIU with this claim and an increase in sinusitis. The C&P exam results were received on 3/4/2014 the 21-8940 was received on 3/11/2014, but they say that they did not receive the N&M evidence for the Fibromyalgia and the 2 secondary conditions!! This is what worries me....can someone please pat the back of my hands and let me know it's ok....that ebenefits just wasn't updated and you are fine.
