Hey Sierra,
I see this is referring to the VA Medical Center, not at the RO. My friends said that they aren't testing anyone at the RO.

I actually went from under review to gathering of evidence!!! but it's saying that they need me to fill out a form for IU. I already submitted that form!! Then it says...You filed a claim for. The notice of disagreement was filed. You were denied on. This decision was final as of. The deadline has passed so you must submit new and material evidence in order to open a new claim.
It read exactly the way I typed it and I don't know WTH they are talking about!!
They did say a development letter has been sent so I'm hoping there is an explanation of what they are talking about!!

Thanks everyone for your response.
@meg- I did have a family care plan, but the situation changed. I had one child before I entered the service and my mother has guardianship over her when I went into the service. Just to tell a little bit about my situation, I was pregnant due to MST. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with no where to stay besides the barracks, my mother could no longer care for my daughter because of her job so now I had to care for two children. I could no longer stay in the barracks, didn't have money to put them in child care and didn't have any where to stay, so I talk to a Chaplain about my situation. I went through the steps to get a hardship discharge due to pregnancy.
I was going to just submit the form DD 149 this week and just see what happens.

Hi Scoutitout,
I'm so sorry that you didn't get what you deserved, but congratulations on the win!! Keep fighting and if you have the evidence to prove that you should be at a higher rating based on the regulations, by all means submit a notice of disagreement of your rating. (After you receive your retro of course)

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew how hard it would be to change the narrative on your discharge after 19 years?? I was told at that time that my discharge would be "Hardship due to pregnancy", so when my DD214 stated Due to pregnancy, I assumed it was the same thing. I just found out that it was not because I was denied a certificate of eligibility for a home loan because I did not meet the 24 mos. rule.

So not sure if this is a Success story yet or not. Can anyone tell me if this is standard or should I be nervous and did not get an award?
Did you check your AB8 letters?

Congratulations Josh and I am so sorry for what you're going through.

Hi and welcome,
When you're rated at 70% and you mention that you are unable to work because of your service connected disabilities, the VA will look at TDIU. They are requesting your SSDI to see if you are receiving it solely for your service connected disabilities, if you are there is a very good chance that you will be awarded TDIU! GOOD LUCK :)

I was awarded 70% SC yesterday (one battle finally won), and the award letter states:
We deferred entitlement to the 100% rate (IU) because you are receiving Social Security Disability benefitis (sic) and we need your records from the social security administration. We will obtain these records for you.
That's all it says about it.
I never filled out the form for IU, and this was on there anyway. Do I need to fill the form out? Does anyone know what records they are getting from the SSA, and how they will affect IU?
I was granted 70% for Shizoaffective disorder claimed as PTSD. Does this just mean that I claimed for PTSD, and they found something else?
I receive SSDI benefits, also for Shizoaffective disorder.
I'm just really scared, stressed out and drained. I thought I was going to be able to take my head off a swivel after my award and spend more time attempting to be happy so my wife wouldn't be so stressed out and worried about me. I could really use some answers/support.
Thanks in advance.
