In Feb,05 I filed NOD on EED- never heard from them. I forgot about having filed,until yesterday. I sent Iris requesting statas of claim! Within 3 hours,got this response: Your notice of Disagreement is with DRO. No decision has been made as of this date. You will be notified by mail upon completion. What say all ??? Same old Bull S--t?

In July 18,2005,I had to rush to the hospital,because being STUPID,I decided to use a Skil Saw. I cut a board,then almost cut my left arm off. Cut to the Bone. I drove myself 8 miles holding my left arm,bleading like a pig,made it to EM before passing out. Hospital called VA Fee Basis,an THEY DID NOT PAY. I called,sent copies of Bills,an all they have ever paid was $122.40 on bills that total over $1000.00. Now they as calling an telling Me that if I do not pay this now,it is going on my credit report, They call 2 times a day. What do I do Now???? I would of have died,nearest VA Hospital is over 1 hours drive,so that is why I had to go to nearest Hospital. I an 80% an P&T-Unenployable!

Here I go again with more questions. I am 70 % PTSD 10% Tinntius 10% Athletics feet 20% left shoulder rotator cuff An I filed for the following:and Denied! for Secondary condition! 7. Erectile dysfunction 8. Depression,anxiety disorder with panic attacks;Agoraphobia,mostly I leave house for Dr.appointments xxxSleep apnea (using machine every nite) got from VA. 1. Heart condition 2. Hypertension 3. Migraine headaches 4. TMJ (in my dental records at VA,an I was fitted with mouth piece,because I Grit my teeth at nite. 5. Peripherial neuropathy,upper-lower extrimities,bilatterial (no,I was not in Nam)WITH PAIN!!!! Unknown cause. All of the above were in my medical files,an all used in Axical 1-2-3-4 etc. by my shrink. I an on 19 different med,from VA, an most are 3 time a Day an all have side effects. 6. A&A- Housebound I am 80% P&T- I am intitled to get $89. for ED- should be getting it.Will fight for it. So if I can get the Dr. to connect all of the above as being secondary to PTSD,(The shrinks have already stated that they believed it was )an I can get the VA Doctors to say that they are secondary to PTSD.What can I hope to gain if I WIN? Any way of getting 100% shredder? I have a lot of problems becaue of my memory loss,so please forgive my long post. You are my only friends,because I am locked up inside,an allow No one into my home. Or Head!

David, Oxicodone is about 5 times stronger then Hydrocodone. ( Oxocodone is a Schedule 2 drug- and Hydrocodone is a schedule 3) Oxycodone,oxycontin,percodan,perocet is given for moterate to severe pain. ( Very,very addicitive) Fast acting!! Hydrocodone is given for small to mild pain. (Addictive also,but they are necessary to relieve pain,so that we can have some kind of life! Just do not abuse it,but you do have to take them they have to be taken regularly for them to work best. Hope this helps!

Dean, When you get 100% the VA should pull,an fit you with dentures,free of charge. That is one place that I have always recieved only the very best of care. Dental Clinic. Good Luck!!

Berta, The Tech just said that because of eating prior to testing,that he would not be able to get necessary pictures. They just never re-scheaduled to re-do test. Only found out about mini strokes when they took CAT scan a couple of months ago. The Doctors Never told me about the results,but only read it when I got a copy of my file at Hospital. She was not my primary at that time. That is why I am having problems with my memory- Dr. now has me on both Aricept-10MG a day & Namenda 10MG 2 times a day. About 2 months now. Yes,its affected me,loss of memory,drop foot,and left hand trimbles an is weaker.

What about Sinusitis not being rated? Would this Claim be considered an Open CLAIM ????

NO HBP ever before servive!!

On Jan 6,1992,This Veteran filed multiple claims,which were all Denied. He did not continue his claims. Today,He asked me to look at his Claim. This is what I found. He joined the Navy at 18,served over 4 years,honorably discharged. On his Seperation exams,showed these items, (1) HBP-with(3) readings on discharge exam. (denied, saying pre-exiting.( He sent,at that time his complete medical file-shows NO sign od HBP present before service!! (2). Flat Feet. Diened! Said that it was from Birth. ( On his service records,he complains of flat feet) Pain--- No mention of FLAT FEET in entrance exam.Claim Dienied!!! (3)Sinusis- Many complaints of problems during service,and thousands of $ in medical bill after service,operation on ears caused by Sinusis,Hearind problem( Tinitts)-Ringin in ears---- [[u]u] EVERY THING ELSE WAS DENIED--------- EXCEPT FOR SINUSIS[/u].----!! Never any ruling given!!!!!!! NOTHING WAS EVER DECIDED-IT WAS LEFT OFF THE - Rating Decision Completely missed this, SO-O-O!! (A). IS THIS STILL AN OPEN CLAIM ON THE SINUSITIS????? (What about the other,Flat feet? They did an Exan,an took him to serve his country!!! He did so,an was in the Gulf, on Roosvelt--with all the oil smoke-poison! So What are his Options??? © And his Claim for HBP! I have read his pre-service Medical record. It is Only ONE(1) Page long.One Dr.-- Never treated for HBP. Never. I do not know where they found this to be pre-exiting. Option ??? Please jump in-I NEED ADVICE! Sorry,but my Brain does not work like it use to,before all I been through! Here I go AGAIN. Lets see,in 1992 Vet filed for 8 issues,and 6 were DENIED, 1 (0)% But NUMBER 8 was left out of the Rating Decision (Completely). No mention was ever made,nothing was ever said,as if he had never applied for SINUSITITS yet all the issues were filed at the same time,BUT JUST NEVER RECIEVED - gotten an Answer-Award,or Rating. (NOTHING) --- So it this still an OPEN CLAIM ???? --- Th (Vet) had Cluster Strokes-Missed by VA- they did MRI-but he had eaten so they could not do the next one,with contrast. There was never any follow-up on it. Years Ago. That is why he is so insistant on getting Answers now,that he can understand-work with. (hope this helps explain posting)

I wrote a couple of days ago about my CT an the matter of my losing Brain Volume. I went to see a VA Neurologist,this past Tuesday. She says it is nothing to worry about,and said a lot of nothing. She stuck a needle in my scalp a few times,then on my legs, An guess what?? She also says that the medicine could be the cause of my losing Brain volume. Too much medication working against each other. She showed more interest in my hands,legs,and feet then in my Brain. I have Peripheral Neuropathy,stocking & glove- at this point mostly the problem is in my feet-legs. I live in constant pain,even taking up to 6 Loratab 10 a day.Was on 3000MG Gabapentin(Neuroton) a day. I use a cane an have a lot of trouble walking. I am,at this time not SC for Peripheral Neuropathy. Its of unknown etiology( Maybe drugs interaction,chemical,etc) Sorry its so long-Comments Please. Following is from my file-got it same day. Plantar- Flexor Bilateraly. Sensory-Both ue- Intact to all primary sensory modalities,except mild impairement of vibration in both hands. Both LE-Intact light touch/PP/Position. Moderately impaired Vibratory sensation in both feet/legs. Cerebellar-no Dysmetria on heel to shin Bilateraly. No Dysmetria on F-N-F Bilareraly. Ram- Intact Bilateraly. Guilt/Station-- Walks with a cane--Favors left leg. He say he can not walk on heels/toes. A-1. Cognitive impairement ( multiple etiological factors such as PTSD,Depressive Disorder,Medication side effects,etc.) 2. Peripheral Neuropathy. P.1. Recommond PCP to review meds,if that does not improve cognition may try Aricept 5 to 10 MG/Day . What are your thoughts??

I have been telling the VA for a long time(years) that my brain Hurt. Every Doctor would just look at me strangely,an change the subject. Last week,I went to my primiry Doctor. Told her that My memory was so bad,that something had to be wrong. She sent me to be tested by Shrink,an he sent me back to her. She sent me to get CT scan. Before I left Hospital,I asked them to send me a copy of CT & X-Rays of lower back and hip. My Doctor called me this Saturday to tell me the results of CT& X-Rays. According to CT results, are as follows- A CT scan of the Brain was performed without contrast. There is moderate diffuse Volume loss,greater then expected for a pitient of this age. There is no no shift of the midline structures or abnormal extraaxial collection of fluid. There is no interacranial hemorrage or mass lesion. The calvarium appears intact. Impression: Volume loss,greater then expected. Primary Diagnostic Code: Clinical correlation is needed. My primary Doc. called an made an apointment-an Monday(today) I get a call to go for a neuro. exam. Tomorrow at 9:AM. ( FASTEST I EVER HEARD OF) Primary said that it most likely caused by 40 years of Depression. Also have Degenerative joint disease. Boy, Those GOLDEN YEARS> PTSD-70% Feet 10% P&T 100%UN Tinnist 10%- Hearing-0-% Any one have any Idears about what is going on? Also have 16 Claims pending as of now!

Well,it has been about 10 days since my Brother Died. Now to start the fighting for the living. ( My Sister-in-law) So how do I go about filing His( Claims) for Her? Do I refile all the claims with his C- file # /an her name on them. The 1151 Caims,too? My power to concentrate is really BAD. (PTSD & Medication)

BERTA, Everyone, I heard last nite that my Brother died ,at around 9 PM. He was in a lot of pain,so in a way,its better this way. No more Pain. It s a win for the VA, Again. They ended giving him a Pension & A@A only. I am S o o o tired of fighting them.

Hi Berta -an anyone else who has time-and patience to help. I filed his (My Brothers)1151 Claims-I hace Senators-Congressman call for him. Problem? We are leaving to go see him, He has lusid monents,but I think that the cancer is going to his brain. Problem is -he got his Form 9.---- He signed it,but my Question is this. Should I go ahead and file it? The Doctors hold NO hope that he will live more then maybe 2 months. If the answer is yes,what box should if check off? He is on VA Pension-A&A. And S.S.D- His wife is also disabled an trying to care for him. He get $550.00 extra from Pension & A&A .QUESTION? Is there anything else that iI can File to get any other Help for him? He gets 20% SC-10% hearing &10% Tennits. But NO Money for this! Berta,He is the one that they refused to allow to re-enlist ,after 9 years in service,because of his hearing loss.But they only give him 0%! You had said something about Cue? Is it too late.

Berta, Thanks for info. I am filing these 1151 claims,an I asked the his case be experdited,but his chance are Very slim that he will live to see these completed. The Doctors sent him home-with all the pain medication . The SO was not even interested in helping me this time. He was not even helpful filling out the VA form 9 that he recieved,with the Statement of the Case. For appeal to BVA. Guess its a waste of his time-helping a dying man.
