Pete53 We called Gretna(New Orleans) and was told that all C&P reports now go directly to them.Was told Can request copy of C&P,but it WILL delay Claims!!!

The Vet went to Jennings,La Hospital,One in Lake Charles,an Lafayette,La. All return addresses were Gretna,La.

Went with a Vet to VAMC in Alex,La. today. He went to release of information,filled out form for Copy of the 3- C & P exams that he took in Nov,07. The Clerk looked on the Computer,then came to the window an asked the Vet where and who had given him the C 7 O? He told him that it was Contract Doctors1! Clerk told him, Sir,these reports are Not sent back Here, but instead go directly to Gretna,La. WE CAN NOT GET A COPY OF IT AT ALL,He stated. He then addressed an envelope,an told the Vet to Mail request to Gretna. So Vets are left with out a copy of Their C & P - Unless Gretna,La. decides to sent a copy -before He gets his Disision!

Hi Everyone- Helped Vet to get a 2006 pickup truck-so they can load up his Wheel Chair when he goes to Doctor or Hospital. That old truck he had stopped on him too often. He hits the scale at about 400#- so its a job getting him where he needs to go. The rest of money,he is remodeling his house for him to get around his house in his wheel chair-but not enough money to re-do his Bathroom. Really needs that -really bad situation keeping him clean.

Pete-- Mobie-- No Pete,he is not in the nursing home. But he pays sitters-staying with him all the time. He Quilifies for a Pension, BUT because of His Income,He does Not recieve a Pension.

Mobie, I can assure you that this vet,does NOT recieve a Pension!! But he is getting A&A,an the paperwork explained that he would recieve A&A at the rate of $1519.00 per month,shows that he Does Not recieve Pension,because of his income,he Gets Social Security check of over $1500.00 per month.

Well,I still find it hard to believe,and I really only believe it because the Veteran called me this afternoon. He asked me to come over. He has No one that he can trust,and when I got there he showed me the CHECK-$39,680.00. He wants me to go to the bank tomorrow,an deposit it for him. He does not want Anyone,even his family to know that he recieved this money. He knows that they will try to steal it from him,or sweet talk him out of it when he is out of his head. They did it before,so I will be watching out for him. He will need this money to live out his life with some dignity.He served his country well. May he live to enjoy every penny of it.

The reply from VA,is that he will recieve the full amounr,an they indicate the break-down over the last 2 plus years!! 30,000.00 Plus dollars!!!

Been working with a vet for about 3 years,I tried to S.C.him,get him a pension. No Luck. BBut I had also filed for A&A- And GUESS WHAT??? He just got his envelope- and he will get BACK PAY FROM JUNE,2005 to now. Now I just hope he live long enough to enjoy it. Having congestive heart failure,an has to be on oxogan all the time. BUT ITS another Win for a Vet. He will get $1550.00 a nonth -Plus his SS Check.

Over 30 months ago,I recieve TDIU,P&T,with 10 month back pay. Right away,I sent in a NOD,EED. I have been waiting all this time. On Tuesday,I sent Another IRIS,which I have been sending ever 3 months or so. I have been getting the basic quote, Your Claim is with the DRO,and you should here from us in 60 t0 90 days. On Tuesday I sent the following: I have sent frequent request for a status of my claim-Nod for EED. This was filed 30 months ago. I understand that you have many claim being processed,but my Nod has been with a DRO for a Long,Long time. Please let me know what other information you may need! REPLY recieved today: Your appeal is with the Decision Review Officer(DRO) Due to the complexity of appeals,there is No timeframe. You will be notified by upon completion. Anything else I can Do?

Someone served on the USS Roosevelt,during first Gulf War. Question! How do you,or where do you get a copy of there medical treatment recieved while in Gulf aboard Roosevelt. Tried St.Louis,but they have 0 records,except DD214-Medals. No records found of treatment during 4 years service. Period. Even called,whitout getting info I requested. Where are these records stored? Any Address????

My son,who is now 38,was in the first Gulf War. He served on the USS Roosevelt, for 6 month tour. He came out,and made a sucess of his life. Then lately,he has loss A Lot of weight,an has lost most of his hair,his bad colostral is high,an colostrol are high. He went to the VA Clinic today, an the Doctor took a blood test,to check on his tyroids.To find out causr of so much weight loss!! My Question is! Could this have anything to do with Chemical,on air currents,that drifited and is now affecting him? I know that I saw something here on Hadit,but sense I got those cluster strokes,cant remember long enought to find information I am looking for. THANKS

Charles, Lets see!!!! You are disabled,100%,for panic disorder-with modified agoriphobia?? And you want to WORK-or Go BACK to School?? I would think that the VA will say that if you can work,earn money or be around people,or go to school,unless online,will raise a RED FLAG all the way to Your 100% disability!! I am just thinking out loud!! What say U,everyone??

I sent an IRIS,about 45 days ago. Sent another IRIS on the 4/26/07,concerning my Claim on EED. I filed back in 1999,but the response was; Your appeal is with the Decision Review Officer(DRO). Due to the complexity of the appeals process,there is no time frame on appeals. You will be notified by mail upon completion. SO,2 Years,3 mo. for DRO Decisions???on EED back 15 years!

This is something that all Veterans could try when sending any kind of information on or for your Claims. On the BACK of all your Pages -and Under the Green Card on the Envelope-put Your Name,and C-file # in LARGE PRINT-- Maybe-- it will be harder for them to lose them!!!

If you keep this up,The Vets who read and really apply the information that you are making avaiable here on HADIT will be able to have a really good chance of getting their Claims approve-the First time instead of like me fighting for over 15 years. When I stated same Bull S--t,I was only meaning the back log-in New Orleans-- Not that they are not doing their job,but that it was taking so long for them to get to it. Hell,from the time I first filed a claim to now,it been at least 20 years. So whats a few more?

My only remark is! Why have you waited this long before filing for it??? You should hane been reciving it with that list. Man! Good luck.
