  1. In mid 2014 the national average was 24 days. My experience has been 30 days or less, for most of the Veterans that I work with.
  2. Fat, Correction on the address: When submitting claims: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Claims Intake Center PO Box 5235 Newnan, GA 30271-0020 When submitting evidence or anything other than a claim, including change of address: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Evidence Intake Center PO Box 4444 Newnan, GA 30271
  3. Fat, The Georgia center’s address is: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Claims Intake Center PO Box 5235 Newnan, GA 30271-0020 You can upload documents via VONAPP (found through eBenefits). If you are using a Service Organization, you should contact the NSO office at your VA Regional Office and ask them where to send. Most Service Organizations still want correspondence to go through them.
  4. silverdollar22, They probably have already figured in the bilateral factors. I can't recall ever seeing bilateral factors discussed in a rating decision that is sent to the Veteran. The best way to confirm that they were applied is to get a copy of you Rating Decision Code Sheet. Send a 21-4138 requesting a copy or if you are using a VSO that has VA computer access, the VSO should be able to print one for you.
  5. jimshoe52, Could you please post what Series, Rating and Job Title are listed on your Discharge. Also, I see that you have your Service Treatment Records; but do you have your Official Military Personnel File? Your entrance and exit physicals are normal located in the OMPF.
  6. Kate, Do you have any later MH treatment records from the CBOC. The June records don't have an official diagnosis of PTSD. If you have any of the later treatment records (June - October), could you look for something like this: Axis I: All psychological diagnostic categories except mental retardation and personality disorder Axis II: Personality disorders and mental retardation Axis III: General medical condition; acute medical conditions and physical disorders Axis IV: Psychosocial and environmental factors contributing to the disorder Axis V: Global Assessment of Functioning or Children’s Global Assessment Scale for children and teens under the age of 18 If you do please post what it says after, Axis I
  7. Kate, I just read the treatment record that you posted ( ). I see the date is June of 2014. I'm curious, when did he start MH treatment at the CBOC? Was the June appointment his first? Has he had any appointments since?
