  1. Hello, My RAMP HLR claim was closed out on December 21st and I received a denial for 2 of my claims via the RAMP HLR; however I didn't receive any information on the other two issues that I had. My rep told me that I was to receive C&P exams for these two issues on December 18th. I have tried to phone my rep twice and sent 2 emails but am being ignored by my rep. In the meantime I phoned IRIS on January 14th and they put in an inquiry and apologized for this happening. I have yet to hear on this inquiry. Is there any other way I can find out about my other two issues? I feel the people who review claims are doing this on purpose in hopes that I will stop my claim. I wish they were not like that.
  2. RAMP denied 2 of my issues by ignoring credible lay evidence, which goes against their policy. They didn't accept 2 other IMO due to the fact they were submitted after HLR opt in which my rep said they would accept if before the conference. They closed my case on Dec. 21 and I have yet to hear about my other 2 issues. I think they intentionally didn't put them in any decision to delay my claim. I have an inquiry in as of right now. I'm ticked as well. I wish you could go after the person who destroys your character and basically calls you a liar even though you meet all 3 of the caluza elements; which I do.
  3. Great education here! I appreciate the information.
  4. Yes I have a vets.gov and ebenefits account. They both say that claim is closed.
  5. Hello, My RAMP appeal HLR was closed out on December 21, 2018 with 4 issues. I received a denial on 2 of the issues Janurary 2nd. I have not received any information on the other 2 issues, migraine HA and GERD as of yet. It has been sufficient business days. I go through a county veterans superintendent who helps me but is not authorized to represent me as a VSO would so I have a different representative who will not return email or messages with regards to my questions on the status of migraine HA and GERD. Any advice on how to proceed would be deeply appreciated on how to get the status. \Also with regards to the denials would it be advisable to go RAMP supplemental or RAMP BVA lane when that time comes?
  6. Here is what vets.gov tells me. It refers me to ebenefits and it says claim is closed. Disabilities says the same thing it always has "not rated for anything" which it has said since my initial denial in 2015. Does it take a while for eben to update this portion? Historical claims has my RAMP claim listed. Thanks and Happy New Year! I hope this helps someone. Your claim decision is ready We finished reviewing your claim on Dec. 21, 2018. 7. Good morning; I did a search on here and the results were vague on my issue with ebenefits with regards to my RAMP appeal. Ebenefits says appeal closed. It also says there are no ratings on the disabilities. I have already prepared for the worst higher level reviewer in Atlanta who reviewed my claim. Didn't take lay evidence into consideration. Also said the IMO must say review a certified copy of C file. It appears a solid review of SMR's and military history doesn't suffice anymore. Just another reason to deny IMHO. Anyhow, if the claim info is updated and the disabilities section says no ratings, does this mean a total denial?
  8. Thank you; the vets.gov site gives you the illusion that you have been rated in the statement I pasted. . Ebenefits says no ratings under disabilities which has been the case the whole time since my initial denial. I am already prepping for another NOD via I9 regardless of what any of the sites state. My rep also told me that new exams were ordered for 2 of my conditions last week after the higher level review which I wasn’t involved in. I’m a little confused as well.
  9. Here is the update on my claim from vets.gov. I also went to E Benefits and there is not any information available there on denials or any ratings. I presume the below message is sent to everyone and is just protocol. Thanks and Merry Christmas. Your claim decision is ready We finished reviewing your claim on Dec. 21, 2018. 10. Thank you for the links Vync; this is the format I had the doctors review. I thought there might be another way for the C file review. I will await until I receive the actual decision and review. My rep says he already seen it; however he is 4 hours away and the only contact I have is via phone. Thanks
  11. I just wanted to share my experiences with RAMP. My rep phoned me and told me I was denied on two of my issues but will receive C&P exams on the other two issues including Migraines. I was not involved with the higher level review conversation which I thought I would be. I believe I should have went supplemental lane instead of taking the advice of my rep to do HLR I was also informed that all lay evidence was ignored including buddy letters. I was told that me and my wife need to write additional letters for all denied issues that will go to the RAMP legacy BVA lane now. The problem is that we have already written everything my rep said we needed to write about. It's there in black and white. All opinions I had in my claim from Doctors included in them: thorough review of SMR's, board certified, rational and at least as likely as not/more likely than not opinion. Now I am told I have to have these doctors (2 of them retired) include that they have reviewed a certified copy of my c-file or any new medical opinions that I receive in order to be accepted. I hope when it comes decision time that the IMO from my neurologist has some bearing and that the initial C&P gets ignored since the doctor was wrong. Does anyone have a general guideline on how physicians should construct an IMO letter for the Bva? My rep was supposed to let me know but ignores my emails. I am being referred to a veteran friendly pulmonologist and wanted to have it ready. Thanks
  12. Everyone I've been down with migraine, eye, and cluster headaches for a couple days so apologies for the delay; and I never dreamed there would be this much help. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their help and kind words. I have an honorable hardship discharge in which something was going on with a close family member and it caused me a lot of stress. Stress is listed on my exit exam. I also fell 6' and have buddy letters to prove including the doc who wishes he'd sent me for further eval looking back. . I was assaulted on my submarine while in rack sleeping; someone held my feet and then another put a pillow over my head for around 20-30 seconds. I can't prove this because I was afraid to tell anyone but eventually told my wife. I am unable to find anyone who might be able to write me a buddy letter who may have been down where the E1 to E2 and a few E3 slept. Knowing the personnel on the boat I believe that no one would have investigated anyway; maybe the COB but it would have had to get to him. Laugh if you want but it bothers me to this day along with my hardship discharge reason. The Navy also turned their back on me turning my hardship. One thing that I will not submit because it doesn't bother me all that bad is I seen someone cut themselves up with a knife on their arms pretty bad. He had to be medivac off boat during heavy sea state on to a ship. I am finally seeking help and have been encouraged to file a claim by my counselor and psych doc. I have been run off jobs and made the first lay off due to my attitude and horrendous past. Right now I am employed around 8 months per year and my supervisor is a retired Marine and the secondary guy is a Marine both Rated PTSD. They understand and we talk stuff out. We all help each other out with our issues. These guys won't be around forever though. I believe I make over that amount listed on attachments that Geeky Squid left. Anyhow, my cup runneth over...
  13. I just want to get into the system and get a dx by the VA itself so it will be easier to file a claim when the time comes. Did my statement suggest that I had serious issues? I have my moments but nothing serious. I go to one psychiatrist to talk who also fills out DBQ's for vets and the other gentlemen I go to every 6 to 8 weeks prescribes me medication to help me out with the BS. I have problems in social and occupational settings big time The reason I asked this question is because I am told I am not eligible since I am not disabled; however I am a veteran.
  14. I am seeing 2 separate psychiatrists. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety from non combat. Both say it is from my military service. I would like to get into a VA facility and see a psychiatrist or other mental health professional. Is this possible or do I have to make a claim and be diagnosed by a VA contractor first? Thanks. I also conducted a search for this to no avail.
  15. How do I check the BVA system to see where you are located? I have already opted into RAMP but was just curious
  16. Well put! I am on day 169 today with a scheduled completion date of February 3rd. I believe I got kicked back to the supplemental lane since they let me submit more evidence that I was waiting on before my deadline to opt into RAMP. I think this is why it is taking a bit longer. nonetheless patience is important.
  17. Mine has an estimated completion date of November 24th on vets.gov. Ebenefits has an estimate date of January to February. I started RAMP on June 12th and the 125 day window is gone as well. I guess it's better than waiting another 2 to 4 years.
  18. Will they eventually get to the personnel who deny claim after claim of disabled veterans and purposely tie them up so they go on for many years?
  19. Stupid me then i guess. I should have began by saying the psychiatrist's business is 75% veterans and that he has helped many many many many many veterans receive the PTSD benefits that they deserve and will go to bat for you. He is very reputable. I guess I should have said " I heard from a guy" instead of a psychiatrist.
  20. Sorry paulstrng didn’t mean to alarm you like it did me.
  21. Good evening I just got out of my psychiatrist and we had a discussion about RAMP. He says you forfeit all back pay the day you enter and I swear I read you are entitled to the “same potential effective date” twice in the RAMP letter I was sent.
  22. Should a spouse mention and explain your stressors when writing a letter about how my PTSD has affected the family or stick to the symptoms before, in and post service?
