  1. Just wanted to provide a followup on the Mission Act for Dental Care I mentioned in this post. Everything I have read doesn't mention anything about dental care. Well today I received a call from the Chief Dental doctor at the VA Hospital I use. He told me he will allow outside dental care for me, but VA will need to find a provider in my area first that they will approve. We'll see how that goes.
  2. GeekySquid Thanks for all the help, information and expertise.
  3. GeekySquid This is what and how it is listed on ebenefits now as of the 100% award.
  4. GeekySquid Good Morning, I was just reading over my award letter from 4 Nov.
  5. GeekySquid "In effect, based on what you say here, you have a STATUTORY right to SMC(s). "
  6. GeekySquid Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to file the regular route. I don't feel confident enough to file a CUE.
  7. Thanks for all the advise. I'm going to get stuff together and file for SMC(s), via the 60% rule. Can't hurt to try.
  8. I have looked at the SMC-S before but saw there was form for "house bound" that needed to be filled out by a doctor.
  9. GeekySquid Yes I just check the Letters on ebenefits and it shows 100% P&T.
  10. Fee Base is provided when the VA allows you to be treated by and outside Dentist or maybe something else, that they per approved. The outside Dentist needs to agree to the VA payment schedule for covered treatments. It take a week or so to set it up unless the VA already has a provider approved in your area. They don't like using it a lot. They stopped mine after a few visits. I liked it, I guess that's why they stopped it.
  11. Yes on e benefits my rating shows final 100% degree rating too.
  12. Can a Veteran rated at 100% schedular P&T do part time work or part time small business? i.e. lawn care, home repair work/remodeling.
  13. Thanks Pete992, I just called them and its only for the Veteran. Thanks again.
  14. Pete992 I co-signed a large Student Choice Education Line of Credit Loan with my daughter for her 4 year degree. When she graduated, I had to refinance it to manage the payments to start paying it off. Chapter 35 helped out a lot, but not the full amount. Unless I'm missing something. She is still paying Federal Direct Stafford Loans and Federal Work Study loans the school allied her for.
  15. Question: Is this for the Veteran only or will it help Dependents under Chapter 35?
  16. Thanks for the reply broncovet, I've been waiting for a (Letter) reply from the VA to confirm all I believe is happening. I still have another rating decision coming for a C&P I had last month as well. Do you think I should apply, or will the VA be looking at that too.
  17. I was awarded 100% TDIU P&T first, with 90% scheduler a few years ago. I applied for a few other secondary SC disabilities in the last 20 months and so far was awarded another 50% rating. So currently I have (1) 60%, (2) 50%, (1) 40%, (1) 10%, and (3) 0%, Plus (1) SMC (K-1). When I received the new rating last month for 50% my 90% scheduler moved to 100%, and the TDIU is not shown on ebenefits.
