  1. WOW, don't know how you do it living on VA's fixed income. That would be impossible for me even with my credit score at 720 (experian). Jay I am proud of what we have accomplished in the past 7 years when we started we couldn't finance a piece of bubble gum now we live in a 250,000 dollar house and drive a 2008 Chrysler we feel like we hit the lottery rebuilding your credit can be done it just takes a few months and proper handling
  2. Ah, I could sit here and bash bash bash but I know many examiners do the examinations correctly. It's the few that ruin it for the rest that try to do right. Jay
  3. THANKS, I will send my award letter in and get this straightened out. Jay
  4. I just did my calculation with algebreic numerations and the figure came to 46 1/2. EXACTLY B) JAY
  5. I have one pending for Chronic Diarrhea but according to VA rules they don't do hyperlipidemia. I tried but was notified that it can't. Jay
  6. Like I stated before, if you do it don't tell anyone you did it. Do it at your own risk. Jay
  7. I have chronic diarrhea and hyperlipidemia due to the meds I take for my Service connected condition. I am getting billed for two meds, one for chronic diarrhea and the other for hyperlipidemia. Both of these are side effects from the primary illness. My doctor(s) have already opined that these are secondary to my primary but the pharmacy is still billing me. Should these be fully paid for since they are related to the primary condition???? Jay
  8. Here are the states that require 2-person consent. Twelve states currently require that BOTH or ALL parties consent to the recording. These states are: California Connecticut Florida Illinois Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Montana Nevada New Hampshire Pennsylvania Washington
  9. I'm not saying "don't do it." I'm just saying legally you're binded to inform "anyone" when you are recording a conversation. Heck, I'd do it. I just wouldn't let the examiner know. I definetely wouldn't do it then let the examiner know I did it after the fact. That would not play into the Veterans favor. Might piss the examiner off and that's the last thing you want to do. Even if the examiner states something in the exam that's off a little what are you accomplishing? You can't use the tape against the VA if you didn't inform the examiner you were recording it. If you did let them know before hand then "YES" you could come back with the tape and use it as evidence. Jay
  10. I understand and am sorry for that. I was just comparing Purples example with a different situation. That's all. I do feel you deserve it, just don't get Purples point regarding side effects. No pun intended, Jay
  11. Instead, why don't you let them know upfront that you're recording and I think you have to get their permission to do it anyway. If you do it without their knowledge you best NOT tell them afterwords unless you want to set yourself up with legal issues. Jay
  12. I agree with Crypto. If you get both VA and SSDI you should be entitled to two payments. That's selfish of our government to just give one check. Jay
  13. In my opinion, a more bothersome trend would be Veteran's filing for comp 30-40 years after discharge. Just my opinion since they had all that time to file. Jay
  14. thanks, you just confirmed what I said below. It's not retirement or it would be called retirement. Jay
  15. I had a feeling it was household, not individual. Thanks, Jay
  16. I disagree...... Disability is not retirement in any aspect. Disability is what your getting when you could be making a lot more working. Retirement is something you would get in addition to working if you choose to do so. Jay
  17. Is that per person or household? B) The average salary in America is around 50k, or almost double what a Veteran gets, even if he can get 100 per cent. I dont begrude a disabled Vet his thirty k per year for getting injured protecting our country. I think maybe it should be the other way around. The Vet, who risked his life, should get fifty thousand a year, and the office GS employee working at the VA pushing paper should get thirty thousand a year. Perhaps the Veteran should delay the government workers paycheck for six months to a year, and the Vetran should get his disability check pronto and on time instead of the other way around.
  18. Listen you can have it documented TWO ways. You may have it in your personnel file that an assault occurred or you may have it in your Medical records.
  19. Good job...We have to be smart dealing with these doctors. They need to see the worst for us to get a fair evaluation. Jay
  20. B) ......That must have been horrible testvet......Why I couldn't imagine the pain and suffering without icecream.
  21. Did you go to medical and document it there. If documented you have a chance. An IMO might do. The timeframe between then and now does play a negative role though. That's why an IMO will definetely be needed. Jay
  22. I agree.......They will probably come at you with something like "DEPRESSION WITH ANXIETY." Something to that effect. Or they may rate you with depression and use anxiety as a symptom to conclude a rating percentage. Jay
  23. You can only get rated for one mental disorder from what I have read on other posts here. I believe they combine them into one rating if you have multiple symptoms. Someone correct me if i'm wrong though. Jay
  24. I will answer that question with a question so I understand what you're saying. Are you saying the situation would be different for a vet if he or she was seeing a private doctor? HOW? Purple said: If you went to a civilian doc...same pain...was given the same meds; had the same side effects....what would you do? Why is everyone scared to answer this question?
  25. Do you have a documented stressor while you were in the service? Just trying to help buddy. The more information we know the more we can help you. Jay
