  1. That's great new!!!!, that's right my friend pay all your bills up first and than take the family out for that very nice dinner, and than come home take your shoes off, put your feet up and say (LORD I THANK YOU) this is a blessing. Now click on the TV, you know what to do after that (find it and watch it) Cold Case would be just right

  2. Carlie,i did as you said and found out what the ssid awarded me for and depression is one of them. i am

30% for depression and 10% for tbi, i did put in for iu and just waiting for c&p exam. it only took me 2 months and got ssd and back pay for one year, but i think that is as far as ssd will go in any state(not sure). i know you once said that the va hardly look at ssd evidences, but i got my ssd with the info i gave them from the va medical records and the dr.that ssd sent me to. so i was just wondering if that would be enough to get iu. this may be a little long but will tell you a few things that ssd and my doctor said and hope this will give me a better chance at getting iu(if i get lucky) and the va look at my ssd award.

    1. Medical Opinion from my va psychiatrist: since nov. 2009 claimant has experienced persisting mental health sxs including anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disturbance, mood swings, withdrawal from others, depressed mood, low energy, and manic episode. she is dx with bipolar d/o and ptsd. exacerbation of sxs of ptsd have limited her ability to maintain gainful employment. prognosis for significant, change and improvement is probably poor. it is believed by the examiner that she cannot manage beneifits in her own best interest (my up & down of bipolar) at the present time because of her inability to make even simple change.

    A. Conclusion: claimant had some difficulty following some instructions. her attention and concentration are reduced below normal. i do not believe she would be able actively perform repetitive tasks with any consistency. i believe she would have a lot of difficulty relating to people around her in a work setting and that she would not be able to tolerate the stress and pressures associated with day-to-day work activity.

    2. Medical determinable impairments and severity by ssd

    A. impairmenta diagnorders----------priority----------------------severity

    The affective disorder primary severe

    Anxiety disorder secondary severe

    B. SSD MSE accepatable source Dr.Levitt: dx bipolar d/o, anxiety nos, ptsd, possible personality disorder. Throughout the interview she appeared very nervous, at times somewhat shaky, she was slightly tremulous at times. no other unsual mannerisms, posture and gait were fairly normal. she spoke in a low voice with a normal rate and rate. Prognosis for significant, change and improvement is probably poor.it believe by the exminer that she cannot manage benefits in her own best interest at the present time because of her inability to make even simple change. With all that being said, would it be a good ideal to take this txt to my c&p exam dr.? and should i mail a copy of this txt as more info for my iu claim or would that just push my claim back? Not sure how long it will take after my c&p but i can wait it out. Was told by my amvet rep. that i should hear something by aug of the year. All input is welcome.

P.S. NO I AM NOT AS CRAZY AS IT SOUNDS AND I DO JUST FINE WITH PAYING MY OWN BILLS, BUT DO HAVE A HARD TIME WHEN I GET MANIC AND GO SHOPPING. AM I THE ONLY LADY THE WILL SHOP TIL SHE DROPS OR MONEY RUN OUT? WHICH EVER COMES FIRST!!!!

  4. In Florida I am pretty sure you have to go into a metal container anyway. The water level is so high bodies would be floating to the surface. I don't think they can just put you in a pine box and lay you in the sod. You get a nice metal overcoat.

    John

John, as Pete53 statement at the bottom of his reply (The VA shows no mercy ). LORD HAVE MERCY!! what will they do next to the poor older Vet's and maybe us too, when the time come to meet the maker....ohmy.png
  5. all was for ssd, talked to my amvet rep on fri and was told it would be about 3mos before ssd sent my med report to them, so right now all i can do is set and wait. oh, by the way the amvet rep said that the va would decide my claim by aug, which is the month i filed in of 2011. i feel amvet and va is crap. thanks pr.

  6. Berta, I asked ssi to send me a copy and never got it. I was told it would be put on a cd disk. I have so much new info that has been added from my doctors with letters saying I could not work or it would not be in the best interest of the VA and myself.ph34r.png

  7. Sparkle and all,

Try to also keep in mind that the gift giving season, is right around the corner.

It is in no way necessary to spend lots of money on slam - bam gifts.

The excitement of gifts, usually fade quickly.

When we give our time and energy to other's - that is usually remembered for

    years and years to come.

Just saying - and trying to burn it into my brain too : -)

This is so that is so true. Only have two to buy for we send time with each other more than any thing. My 15yr grandson like the money, and that's fine with me. Holding on to all the money I can so I can wait the VA out on my IU some say it may take a couple of years but my amvet rep. said it would be about a year if that much to get it done not sure but now I have some money to hold me over until then.

  8. Awesome...Congrats to you!! Make sure you copy your disability award and send it as further evidence to the VA for your claim. Great to hear your good news!

    LC

So sorry that I was so slow but just had to come back to earth. it feel so good to get all my bills paid and not have all the stress on me Connon. Hope all is going well with you. Just waiting for my letter from ssd so that i can send it in and see if that will help me get my IU. I will def copy that ssd award letter.

  9. Sparkle,

You absolutely have not, done anything wrong.

I was responding to the part of your post,

"I have so many claims to file isn't not funny."

There are some claim issues claimants file for that many times get

    SC'd at either zero or 10 %.

IMO - I much prefer to focus and concentrate on claim issues that will get

    higher percentage evaluations, like say 30 - 40 - 50 - or 60%.

Once you are into the combined rating tables, it takes a heck of alot of

10 percents to even move up, to much of a higher percentage.

In other words - throwing everything possible against the wall to see what sticks,

is not at all the best way to go, you just get everything bogged down if you do that.

I know I will take some flack from someone on this one and that is why,

this is Just My Honest Opinion : -)

MONEY IN BANK!! now off to pay a few bills.

Thanks Carlie, Will do as You say and take it one step at a time. I am not trying to be a hog about nonething. They need to fix this or at less try to do the right thing by me that's all. Dental Office Manager before I went in and now I can hardly write my name without thinking about it first. TBI is no joke. Once more thanks.

  10. sparkle,

Being that in your next post after this one you told me,

"Step in any time and help"

well here I am stepping in : -)

I sure hope you post more about filing alot of claim issues

without running them through here first.

    JMHO

Cariie not sure I understand what u sayin. Did I do or say something wrong? Just let me know and I will correct it. New at posting and sometimes do do somethings wrong, but yes always let me know what I should and should not do. U cool with me.

  11. SP4,

If I were you I wouldn't be messing around with an IU issue - you're already 100% SC.

    I'd be shooting for P&T status and/or SMC's.

    JMHO

sparkle - sorry for stepping on your thread a little.

Girl u fine with me, matter of fact you are the one that has help me work my magic. Step in any time and help.

  12. hey, i filed back in 09/01/2011 for my SSDI. How long do think it will take for me to get mine???? VA has me at 260% comp. and I file for TDIU so I can get CHAMPVA for my wife.

SP4, I filed on sept 9th and got my approval Nov 9th which is very fast so I am told, but I had so much crap going on with me it wasn't funny(ptsd. mst, bp,depression, tbi) and a few more also my dr. put a note in my medical records saying I couldn't work because of all of my disorders and to me she didn't word it that good but it worked and that's ok with me as it won me my ssd. did u have a dr. letter or note in your file? did they say it was in review? I was told that, but do to my back pay being so high that could be I think that was one reason I had the review. Some one on hadit said it was stander for them to do that. How in the heck did you get 260% comp I would like to try that one because I have put in for IU myself and hope to it a ok by aug. I could care less about retro at this point just give me the money. I have so many claims to file isn't not funny. I will be praying you get it soon. heck just keep call until someone tell you something

  13. Hey Sparkle. That is great news! I am sitting down at the SS office trying to find out why they haven't released my back pay yet. Wish me luck.

Mike not sure, I would try to call back fri and see what's up. I do know one thing if you talk extra sweet (if lady) they will go out of their way to tell you what you need to Know I did, cause the lady on tuesday said she could not see none thing (lie very nasty) and called today and was told that back pay was released this morning, now may be she was tellin the truth about she couldn't see none thing but I just think she was telling a lie. any way just call back on fri and see what's up. let me know what you hear.

  14. Great news Sparkle and if the SSDI awarded solely for SC conditions ,then this is great evidence for TDIU.

Berta, was told this morning that my back pay was released this morning and should be in my account by fri or mon. and will get my first ssd check on dec 14 this has been a great morning. I was also told that it will only take me about one year to get news about my IU claim. I feel good about getting my IU but will also be fighting by fight until I die with my dear VA. You are a blessing to me and so many other at hadit.

  15. Thanks Mike, I feel we both will be getting some moo la soon. By the lady saying call back in 3 weeks I feel you are just a phone call away from that money. I was told some get the money in the bank before the letter comes. Going to call my ssa office right now and see what they say and will Get back too you soon. Thanks you give me hope.

    *Sparkle

Mike was told that my back pay has been released this morning and should be in my bank account by Fri or Mon. Oh happy day!!! and a big WOO HOO you stay strong I can smell money in my nose for you as well.

Also will get me first ssd check Dec 14th

  16. Shouldn't be long now, Sparkle.

Keep them wolves at bay & you'll see your reward!

Good morning my friend, just called ssa and was told that they released my back pay today. guess I may see it by Fri or Mon that what she said or will be getting 2 thousand more than I was told the first time. Will get me first ssd check on dec 14th woo hoo this is a good day for old girl. now I can go get my leaf blower. Notorious the wolves are dead at ssd, now have to work on getting off me at the VA. Put in for IU and was also told this morning that it will not take the 2 years that was told to me but I can deal if its one year which wii be Aug 9th of 2012. God is good and he is always on time!!!

  17. pr,
