Sounds like good news so congratulations on that much!

Once I received my letter it was only a week or so and I had money in hand.

Don't have any idea how long it took the VA to get the letter to me after the actual approval though.

I don't know about the security clearance stuff. The site has a contact info link where you can get phone numbers, etc. to contact them. You could try checking that.

Is this anything different than requesting records from the storage facility in Missouri?

Also, does anyone know if the records stored in these archives also contain security clearance-related investigation results and related documents?

I sent in a request for my medical records and they said they didn't have them there and to contact my VARO. Further down in the letter it stated; or go to http://www.archives.gov and submit a request. Wait a minute! That was where I submitted my request to in the first place. What the heck is up with that crap? :)

I recently requested my records. I typed out a list of the records I was looking for on Word prior doing my online submission..that way I could cut/paste the information easily. I have received notification per email that they have received my request and faxed signature form. The email said it will take approx. 4-6 weeks to receive my records. Hopefully I will receive all of the information I've requested.

I started using the header (or footer) for my name & claim number when I filed my last claim. You can print off blanks for copying & scanning items. Works great
