Hey Jack,
At the top of your page on the far right the button "Options"
allows you to switch your viewing options.
Sorry, I haven't heard anything about the class action.

It's good to hear that others feel as I do. If they want to automate claims, fine...but get started doing something now! The need to get regs done and get to work on the claims that have already been filed. Vets and families have been waiting for far too long!

Just found the following information...new to me:
Here's a link to the article:

Here's a link to the VA fast-track news release:

Figured out I could use reply & new topic if I toggle to standard so I've move my info to a new AO topic. Can't wait to hear comments.

Mike,
Sounds like good news so congratulations on that much!
Once I received my letter it was only a week or so and I had money in hand.
Don't have any idea how long it took the VA to get the letter to me after the actual approval though.

Best wishes Hawkfire27!
Interesting that you would get a call on Sunday. Hope this means they will continue to move things along quickly for you.

Vync,
I don't know about the security clearance stuff. The site has a contact info link where you can get phone numbers, etc. to contact them. You could try checking that.
Is this anything different than requesting records from the storage facility in Missouri? Also, does anyone know if the records stored in these archives also contain security clearance-related investigation results and related documents?
-
Jeff,
Check out the following link as this may have something to do with when you were in the service:
http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-...ds/medical.html
I sent in a request for my medical records and they said they didn't have them there and to contact my VARO. Further down in the letter it stated; or go to http://www.archives.gov and submit a request. Wait a minute! That was where I submitted my request to in the first place. What the heck is up with that crap? :)Totally confused.......

Congrats on your successful claim! All your work did the job! Well done!

His determination letter should give you all the fact, such as the effective date and his current rating, so you can figure this all out.

I was put on 150 mg every 12 hours for smoking cessation, along with Zoloft for my PTSD. I started having 2-3 panic attacks per day approximately 2-3 weeks after starting it.
-
Hawk,
Thank you for submitting this information.
I recently requested my records. I typed out a list of the records I was looking for on Word prior doing my online submission..that way I could cut/paste the information easily. I have received notification per email that they have received my request and faxed signature form. The email said it will take approx. 4-6 weeks to receive my records. Hopefully I will receive all of the information I've requested.

Acesup,
Excellent information. I may be looking for an IMO in the near future so I've found your information very helpful.
-
Have you looked into your state and county benefits? Many states have property tax relief, etc.

Thank you so much for sharing your information with us. There is a lot to be learned from your experience. Congratulations on your 'hard earned' success.

Soon after I filed my claim, I found the Hadit.com site with tons of valuable information. I wish I'd found it earlier. I came to the forum from there.
-
Some things are best left alone. In the end, you won so his second letter was pointless...be happy about that.
-
Thanks to everybody for their input on this subject. I appreciate your help.

This is such good news for GW, Afganistan and Iraq veterans. Thrilled to hear that our vets are getting what they deserve.
-
Fonz,
I searched P&T on Hadit for you. I think this Hadit link will give better explanations than I could.

I use Pete53 suggestion...
I started using the header (or footer) for my name & claim number when I filed my last claim. You can print off blanks for copying & scanning items. Works great
-
Mike,
I have the same concerns for my wife.
I see that you have a 100% disability. It doesn't sound like you are rated P&T so please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm placing the following VA.gov link here so you can download a full explanation on how DIC works and see other benefits available for surviving spouses.

Welcome msmarsilio.
I would be interested to hear how your evaluation went on the 9th.
Thank you for your service!
