Request A Ssdi Review ?

Question

Hi all:

My review was supposed to be last July.

I'm going to buy a trailer on a mortgage, but I need proof of income for the mortgage.

I need an award letter from SSA to show the mortgage company how long I will receive SSDI payments.

Should I go to the SSA office and tell them that I need a review so that a new award letter can be made??

Thank you!

SSD is supposed to be permanent and your mortgage holder should be happy with proof of payment in your bank. If not than you are dealing with an idiot.

Good Luck

The SSA office can printout a copy of the existing award letter, and a copy of your SS payments and income subject to SSA (If appropriate) I asked for a copy of my SSA file with an FOIA letter, and got it from them on a CD.

MikeS,

You can also go to the website http://www.socialsecurity.gov/ then on the left side there is a link for proof of income letter. Juat request that and that should be work for your mortgage request.

Good Luck,

Tamara
