That is the big question-

and they need aggressive and decisive leadership- I heard Gordon is too nice to everyone to be

a viable Sec.

If the administration and congress want a VA that actually helps veterans it can be done with the stroke of a pen. With the people who pull the levers of government it is always about money. To take care of disabled vets is expensive and, up until now, the people of the United States have refused to do it. Doing right by vets is not complicated but it will be expensive. Better to start another war and get everyone's attention off our current problems.

Do you know the phone number to reach Mansfield's office? I searched the Web today but was unable to find a number. Lots of text about him, but so far, no number.

Morgan-I reached Sec Brown's office via VACO VA Central Office-

it will take me time to dig out the old claims from 1992 and find the number-

you could try G.Mansfield@va.gov/

or G.Mansfield @va.med.gov or

I contacted him or his office via the Service complaint area at Iris -at the VA web site and the RO immediately responded to my complaint- it wasnt a 'complaint' -

I put Attention Dep. Sec. Mansfield into the RE: and

I just asked him if I sent him my medical evidence and 5 bucks would he himself send it to the VA in Buffalo from VA in DC since the email I jusrt received from Buffalo states that they again have lost all of my stuff.

It seemed that per 800# this generated renewed interest in my claim and it has been in rating board ever since.

I will try to find that number I used- I also faxed the Secs office my evidence too- they lost it all many times in the 1990s.

And sent Buffalo RO director a fax to let them know-if it disappeared again-they could find it all in Jesse Brown's office in DC.
