Providers For Women Vets; Are Nurse Practicioners The Norm?

My psychiatrist is a female, but since I'm being seen for MST and PTSD I appreciate that.

The Women's Clinic actually has a REAL LIVE GYN doc that is female...what a concept.

Most clinics are run by CRNP's and PA's, but here in Seattle we have a scary thing called medical students and interns from the UW (run from clinic screaming in terror  ).

We did have great CBOC's run by the UW Physicians Clinics where we actually got to see real doc and specialists 6 days a week with same day appointments........then that new company got the contract and it is as bad or worse as going to the VA.

At the Seattle VA it is very hard for a female vet to get in to see a specialist at all, and when I do it generally is only a PA. Some are good and some not. I am a RN so I go head to head with them, the docs too, and they hate that. I'm not a good little compliant sheep.
