U were right in answering A & A is added to 100% Comp. where all the others said "NO"

Thank U again for the good answer & know wife wouldn't be worth much on her own A & A but will take every penny I can get.

Now all I have to do is win the damn thing. HA Have favorable opinions from every VA Doc I see

what are the requierments to get the R1 and the R2 a&a. I have read the req. for the higher level of a&a but how does the the va determine which R does a veteran gets?

R1 would be if the vet needed care from a licensed medical professional (LPN, RN) and R2 would be if the vet needed round the clock care or nursing home care...in a nutshell

My last person I saw at the VA was some sort of psycholist who said I needed A & A 24 hrs a day.

Also, have opinions from every VA Doc I see saying I need A & A,

Sure would like to get to get that R 1 0r R2 The last person I saw at the VA was some sort of Psychogist ( Had some other letters in front of that word & it was a 4.5 hour test) He said I need A & A 24 hours a day so I would suppose that would put me in the running for R1 or R2

None of the other Doca said that but glad he did.

Also, hadd either 2 or 3 IMO's saying I needed A & A

It means that you need regular "skilled nursing" care to things like administer medications, take BP readings, change indwelling catheters, etc...

If your spouse is the one providing the A&A, and they are not a CNA, LPN, RN, or other medical certified professional, and a doctor hasn't written in the record that you need such specialized care, then you won't get above the "L" rate.

What about if you are getting service at home by a physical and occupational therapist because the va cannot provide these services to you were does that put a vet at?
