It seems that gastric bypass surgery is a cure for diabetes militias in 75% plus of the operations. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care. Diabetes still remains as one of the underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed conditions in Americans. Since untreated diabetes can lead to significant heart disease, strokes, visual problems,peripheral neuropathy, renal dysfunction, and many more complications,the ADA even had a commercial some time back as to how important it was to get diabetes properly diagnosed. Diabetes can cause or asggravate cholestrol problems-which can led to atherosclerosis and even death.
