stillhere
Go to the va.gov website and click on benefits and then click on VRE I think that is where I filled out the application form 28-1900 (vonapp) and submit it online. The contaced me Sept.07 and I sent the form in in August 07. Goodluck

HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted May 9, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 9, 2008 Of course, the best thing is that the voc rehab people find that you are too disabled to be rehabilitated. If it comes from their mouths it is good evidence for IU. It is good evidence for a vocational specialist to say you are too far gone, regardless of them being VA or private. I am just talking in terms of getting more compensation. If you can be rehabbed and survive in the meantime then that is good. Who wants to be on the shelf? People who have normal retirements can go get a job part time at the local Home Depot or something. We can't do that.
yoggie2
That's just it John999, I feel I am in limbo. I never got released from my original Dr to work and to my old Job. But however another doctor stated I was totally incapacitated and thought surgical intervention was warranted but also suggest I couldn't return to my old job and suggested I might be a candidate for revoc to give it a try and the VA ran with it. Well I'll try if they will even let me in the door. I found out from a good source that VA primary care Dr. can not make that make or break decision on whether someone can return to work or not and changed laws so the this can only be determined by a C&P which is a bigger joke because you have to wait for a year for that and the you have a nurse practitioner make decision that over rule IMO's from a real Doctor. how about that, a nurse practitioner carrying more weight than a 2 or 3 Dr's that spent about 6 to 8 years in school and years of experience just to be shot down by a super duper nurse..... Yoggie - happens all the time my friend within the VA. C&P gen med docs carry more weight than three specialists. So one would have to assume that a highly trained NP would outweigh even God! Now thats funny right thar.
yoggie2
Yeah, its kinda funny huh. training hospital doc's and NP's carrying the weight of specialist, and private Dr's that have treated me or years and proscribe bed rest do to incapacitating episodes over the last year and have a NP at a C&P state she performed an exam and I could do something , walking sitting and standing, huh that's a laugh she should have added breath, have a bed for me to work out of....and to beat it all never even performed the exam..............
