carlie
Send an iris inquiry -- See your POA if you have one --or go to VARO if possible and see what's going on in person. jmho, carlie
HadIt.com Elder rentalguy1 Posted July 23, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 23, 2008 Follow up with an IRIS, but don't freak out yet. They did the same to me when I filed 11 claims. It just takes them a little time to get them all loaded in to the system. If all the claims don't show in the system with a few weeks, then it will be time to start busting heads. purple
You filed all those claims at the same time??? I've always heard it's best to file only one at a time so as not to confuse the ppl at the VAROs.
carlie
Purple, They are many times confused, even if you just file one issue. The reason to file on claims as soon as possible (with medical evidence) is to preserve the Earliest Effective Date possible for your compensation to be back dated to; when ever the claim is granted. Sometimes this can mean several years of backpay due the claimant. carlie
purple
But you'll get the back pay no matter when the claim is filed as long as you have the medical evidence to show when the condition began. I'm just saying that the VAROs seemed to get easily confused by one claim per person sometimes....to put several on them at once I think would be a bad idea.
