Hi Skunk,

I would say if you can get your DOC to sign a nexus letter you might be okay. I actually just filed for secondary GERD to the meds i take for mental, back, and asthma. I'm not sure what they rate the condition under. Maybe someone with sc for GERD can give us more information. I'll keep you posted on my case.

well i just visited my doctor sept 29 and she agreed that my mental

condition which i am service connected for is the cause should i get

letter for her to sign as i have already asked varo to include that visit

as evidence also my next mental health appointment at va. my doctor

mental health and medical are both at va hospital.

skunk

if you will do a keyword search from the search function at the top right of this page, you can see that this has been covered as well as many more.if you need answers quick that is a good function.i also used to ask many questions that were beat to death and it will give the volunteers a break.just trying to help.

skunk,

Doc's will tell you many, many things, after all they don't really desire to piss us off

while we are face to face with them in their space.

Until you can get it in writing, it means nothing

Chances are best for a claim for GERD to get granted is to have Medical Evidence from an Endocronologist.

I have no idea what Medical Rationale your PCP and MH provider will be able to use

but I sure would be interested in reading it. Also what Medical Test have you had done ?

Has GERD and/or Hiatal Hernia been Diagnoised thru Endoscopy?

jmho,

carlie
