jamescripps2
My claim is before the BVA. How can I send new and material evidence, (a nexus letter), to the BVA without delaying my claim?
carlie
Send it straight to BVA - I think you also need to fill out a form that's waives VARO from needing to see it first. Don't put it off like me - send a copy and a waiver now. Return receipt requested. jmho, carlie

jamescripps2
thanks Carlie, I will do just that, and right away. Does anyone have the address where I would send the evidence to?
carlie
James, Have you received a letter yet from BVA stating that they have received your claim, and provided your docket number ? The address to send your evidence to will be in the header of the letter. Don't forgrt to waive VARO adjudication of that evidence. carlie
HadIt.com Elder Josephine Posted December 3, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 3, 2008 (edited) James, I needed to send my Independent Medical Opinion to the BVA with haste. This is what I did. I called Carolyn or Lucy at the BVA and told them what I had. Believe me they are wonderful people to talk to and work for the veteran. Here are their telephone numbers: 1- 202- 565- 5001. Ask them for their fax number and they will give it to you. Then take the papers to your local recruiter or bank and they will fax the info for you. If you wish to go further up the ladder. You can contact Carrie Johnson Clark. All information coming from the BVA has her signature on it. She works directly under the Judge. Her telephone number is : 1- 202- 565- 6393 Her fax number: 1- 202- 565- 6364. If you do this you can have the valuable papers in your claims file today. Always, Betty Edited December 3, 2008 by Josephine
