Leroy if you dont mind me asking, how did you get sc'ed for retinal detachment. Was it from an inservice injury or after your discharge. I've had a retinal detachment, after discharge from the service, so I am curious.

Carlie, not sure exactly what the scope of Leroy Johnson detachment is. Mine was a detatchment and tear, one office procedure, two surgeries and sklerebuckle inplace. This happened thirty years after discharge and not sce'd. I was just curious as to Leroys cicumstances. If this sugery on Leroy happened in service, its possible he could get glaucoma secodary. I dont know really.

retinal detachment was due to cataract surgery. I am 1151 SC because of the cataract surgery. They implanted the wrong lens then tried to make the lens work by changing my eye to conform to the lens .developed glaucoma because of all the Lazar surgeries. glaucoma is now end stage they have not been able to control the pressure in the eye.
