HadIt.com Elder Wings Posted May 11, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 11, 2009 Do anyone know the number to AMC? There is currently no number, none at all, they are behind a "stone wall". Seriously. I'm not kidding. ~Wings
rthomass
Well for what it is worth I have a telephone number of 1-866-258-0341 but I just dialed and it is VA but AMC not sure!
akwidow
last time I called them, I was told by the VA operator that AMC no longer answers it's own phone. So unless you have a number to somebody inside, you aren't gonna make any bells ring in that office!
Berta
Something is definitely going on at the AMC- If you are on remand from the BVA (which I think is why you are at AMC) maybe it would be best to call or email the BVA for the status of the claim.Or use Iris. The director I wrote to is gone and then the fax number they gave me for the director of _AMC- is now fax machine in someone else's office- I am almost surprised to say this but I am glad that my decision is going back to Buffalo VARO instead of the AMC- for my award letter- I am astonished at how poor their quality of work is at the AMC. Yhe AMC does not appear to exist at all. ~Wings
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted May 13, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 13, 2009 The AMC is more or less like airplanes circling waiting their turn to land. Just another way to delay claims not something to help like it was originally intended. When it was made by the BVA the idea was that claims that needed to be remanded would be sent there to make it work faster but as usual the entire idea has collapsed and just left a big hope or staging area. By the way it was working till the PVA sued and court affirmed that AMC could not be set up to finish claims developed by the BVA. Yes a long time ago the BVA not being to busy decided that they could work and finish claims screwed up by VARO's. I guess that they overlooked the 4% rule.
