Saw this and wonder if you can contact the VARO to submit your banking information asap? Or if all else the VA 1-800 # or IRIS. Questions and responses are free all in all.

Hi Carlie,

No, I haven't provided them with any bank account information. How long does it generally take before I receive an official notification? Thanks.

You can call the 800# and they will take your bank information over the phone.

Thanks Sharon, you're a goldmine. I didn't know or forgot the clerks can accept banking details over the phone for deposits - cool~! account number, routing number - should be that simple. My old school hat has me signing authorizations; guess I better catch up with technology.

I spoke with a V.A. CSR today and was told my claim was rated last Friday! Of course she didn't have any details to share other than they have to get signatures and she also mentioned my son who is considered a "helpless child" (V.A. terminology) I'm trying not to be too excited because this could be a denial and it is unofficial. I rather stay on the optimistic side of things though. Also, I learned last week (hadit.com) you have to be at least 50% before dependents can be claimed...or something like that. I'll keep you posted.

I hope by the time you read this...you have already received your official letter and big fat deposit. Unfortunately I am going to unintentionally burst your bubble.

I received my rating on May 18th, it is now July 27th, I have yet to receive my retro pay or my official letter. I have been bounced back and forth to from finance, authorization, and the rater 3x since May 18th.

Rest assured the info you have received is most likely correct, it just may take a bit longer to have in hand. I pray for yours to come this week and that you don't go through the anxiety that I have been through. Some day it will be done

Many Blessings!
