HadIt.com Elder cowgirl Posted October 26, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 26, 2009 Cowgirl curious question of the day. Say a vet recieves SSDI then IU for same condition, is IU effective to SSDI date? For my children, my God sent husband and my Hadit family of veterans, I carry on. navydoc2
Cowgirl curious question of the day. Say a vet recieves SSDI then IU for same condition, is IU effective to SSDI date? I would think it would depend on the eed, since I've read on here many times that the VA will only go back 1 year. I'm sure more experienced people will chime in here good question. HadIt.com Elder LarryJ Posted October 26, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 26, 2009 Cowgirl curious question of the day. Say a vet recieves SSDI then IU for same condition, is IU effective to SSDI date? Each is different. First off, SSDI is automatically a 5 months wait. So, the likelyhood of having an Effective Date for your VA claim, coincide with the 5 months delay of the SSDI is highly unlikely. And, IU will have an earliest effective date of the date that the official form for applying for IU is received by the RO. "It is cold and we have no blankets. The little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever." Chief Joseph
HadIt.com Elder Josephine Posted October 26, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) C.G. I don't know the why's, but The Va paid me retro back three years after they received the TDIU Form at the 100% rating. Hope this helps.
