Berta
The Texas Veterans Commission (much to my joy!) has published this link to all VA fast letters. I am posting the Nehmer Fast letter links in the AO forum here as well as well. Fast letters in some situations could even be used as evidence if the VA fails to follow the administrative instructions in a Fast letter. http://www.tvc.state.tx.us/HTML%20Pages%20...ast_Letters.htm GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
HadIt.com Elder allan Posted December 30, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 30, 2009 I was able to locate some fast letters by running a search at the DVA. But nothing anywhere else to locate me to an alphbetical & dated list like the one in Texas. http://www.index.va.gov/search/va/va_searc...earchbtn=Search
HadIt.com Elder cowgirl Posted December 30, 2009 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 30, 2009 Decision Assessment Documents is a wakeup term to me. Don't recall reading one of those, maybe long time ago. Thank you I like your honesty. Happy New Year~! Cowgirl'up! Sure I do... but it's on an internal link. I read somewhere that VA is redesigning the website... I'm sure that the information will be available. Contrary to opinion, the VA is not out to keep the vets in the dark. I would rather rate a claim where the vet knew all the applicable regulations, Fast Letters, and precedential BVA/CAVC decisions than a mess of a claim where the vet has no clue what he's claiming and what special circumstances apply in his specific case. I think the new website is in "beta" mode... if there's a contact button, why don't you use it and tell the people in charge that you want to be able to find Fast Letters, Training Letters, Decision Assessment Documents, etc on the publicly available website. They may not realize how useful it is to the veterans, and believe it's something only us internal people care about. For my children, my God sent husband and my Hadit family of veterans, I carry on. God Bless A m e r i c a, Her Veterans and their Families!
