How Long The Wait?

Question

I called the SSD # last week and was told the decision should have been made on the 19th of Jan. I then get the number to the determination office, where I'm told that the SS doc has to review the file. Does anyone know what this means I've already had my exam what more medical evidence do they need to review? How long is that process? Thanks.

There really isn't an accurate timeline for this. It could be a few weeks to a couple months.

Probably just doing a review of your file to make sure the correct decision was made and offer any input on his part.

What does a doctor have to review since I already had my exam already?

I was told by my judge two to four months and the decision would be mailed to me. I got my decision one day short of four months! I got a Fully Favorable decision after being declined twice and I had a lawyer then also.
