I just don't know if I'll b able to suceed In School specially with my PTSD symptoms an focus, memory, cncentration issues .....

Again, would I have to pay back if I fail?

Joe,

I believe they can make you return the money, but to be sure call the college's financial aid vet specialist they can confirn the regs.

As a combat veteran, or any veteran for that matter!!!

If you thought the fighting was over when you came home, got out, or when the politicians said it was over.

Welcome to the real fight, welcome to VA claims!!!

As long as you attend classes regularly you shouldn't. Remember they'll pay for tutoring, so you shouldn't fail. Keep your counselor posted as to your progress, just to be sure.

Philip is correct- under Voc Rehab they can provide tutors and even make accommodatons to your PTSD.

My husband made 2 formal requests to accommodate his PTSD and the college granted what he needed.

The college will have a VA counselor to help you get tutoring if needed and with any possible request for accomodation that is reasonable.

I am a Chapter 35er and I think CHap 35ers can receive tutoring too- not sure.

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

You can ask your school if they have accommodations for people with disabilities. You can also ask your professors can you record their classes. It really does help but it would be like sitting in the class more than once. You can also ask the professors for test reviews to better help you focus and concentrate.

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

Like PR said as long as you go to class if you fail you will not be required to pay back. The Penalty Box is for changing degree paln with out VA ok and for not going to class.

Use the Tudors and tell the school you may need accommodations they are glad to help you succeed.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
