dsgsr
Bonzai, Thank you for that Info. Very helpful. Vync: If I read the rates correctly it's an ok deal, probably better than you may get on your own if you were to shop other companies that are not considering Dis. Vets. Where they get you is the 5-yr term. That means you have too renew the policy every 5-yrs and it's going too be 5-yrs more expensive. The TERM insurance is the only insurance you should consider. The CASH VALUE insurance is (lack of a better word) a scam, This is something I know. Amenest being 15-yrs Army Reserves, 19-yrs Law Enforcement I had a 5-yr part time Biz as a Financial Adviser. One of the Licenses I had too have was Life & Health insurance so I know how the insurance companies work their products. You must be Licensed to inform someone that CASH VALUE life insurance is junk. Hope this answers your question. Thanks again Bonzai, David
blanco63
Every sc veteran cannot even get this 10,000 VA insurance. I applied and was denied. Although 50% sc for migraines, they said that I was not in good health since I had prior denied claims for heart and mental problems. What do you think about that? sarcastic cane toad
Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted March 14, 2010 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 14, 2010 dsgsr, I appreciate the info! I'll look into it. Can't have too much life insurance. blanco63, It sounds like the VA is feeding you a load of bs. Did you call the phone number in the document or did you go through your VSO? dsgsr
There is this GOOD Health statement on their site, Read last paragraph. Who May Apply for RH Insurance You may apply for RH Insurance if you meet the following 4 criteria: You were released from active service on or after April 25, 1951.You were released under other than dishonorable conditions. You have a service-connected disability. You apply within 2 years from the date VA grants your new service-connected disability. You must also send one monthly premium with your application, unless you plan on paying premiums by deduction from VA compensation benefits or allotment from your service pay. You must be in good health, except for your service-connected disability(ies). You may qualify for this coverage even if you have been rejected for insurance by a commercial company or were offered a policy at high premiums because of your service-connected disability(ies).
