PLEASE KEEP POLITICAL COMMENTS TO YOURSELF, JUST PASSING ON INFORMATION

Edited by pacmanx1
Changed topic title to be more specific

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

You can always read the text version. I have to watch to watch but I usually don't pay attention.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Here is the story from Associated Press http://goo.gl/nlEr

(Tread lightly in this post. The issue is about veterans receiving the compensation they earned. Do not turn this thread into a political flame or it will be shut down.)

If you are a veteran that this applies to you may find this information useful:

Individuals can go to a website at http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/AO/claimherbicide.htm to get an understanding of how to file a claim for presumptive conditions related to herbicide exposure, as well as what evidence is needed by VA to make a decision about disability compensation or survivors benefits. Additional information about Agent Orange and VA’s services for Veterans exposed to the chemical is available atwww.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange.

Productive Ways to address this issue.

Contact the President and your congressman an easy way to do this is to use VVA's legislative action center here http://capwiz.com/vva/dbq/officials/ All the service organizations have a legislative action center on their site, I choose VVA at random.

Type a concise professional email.

What action do you want them to take on your issue

Don't let your anger get a hold of that letter. Be taken seriously, act responsibly.

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

Ex-Senator Simpson is also attacking social security and medicare. He just believes that the nation should break its contract with veterans and senior citizens and the disabled. He wants to help create an attitude in American that those who have contracts with the United States for benefits are greedy, free loaders who are dragging down the nation. Him and those who think like him want to undo the New Deal. They have never forgiven FDR for being a traitor to his class. They believe in welfare for the rich and free enterprise for the poor. This is just the way they think.
