HEY EVERYONE, I am trying to file BDD. i have APPROX 120 days left in service and approx 70 days of terminal leave. do i have to file 75 days before my ets or leave? i have heard both. and how would the VA know when i take my leave? Thanks guys.

the VA and the military share all sorts of information like all of it I know nothing about the new system I left the Army after the first gulf war I am sure the office that handles the claims on your military base should be able to answer the question though since they are the ones who are going to be processing it don't try playing games with them they will only make your life miserable they are good at it

BDD = Benefits at Discharge Delivery - something like that.

I retired under the BDD program, I was told from the date of your leave. This was because you needed to be in the area still for your C&P exams.

I liked the BDD process, I filed in Feb and actually retired after my leave on 31 July, I had my results on 13 August.
