Anyone Else Experiencing Technical Difficulties With Iris System?

Question

The last two times I tried to send an IRIS inquiry (approximately three weeks apart), I received an error message. The last one said: "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers." Is anyone else getting error messages? Thanks.

I used it successfully a couple times recently Sgt G but have had a myriad of problems with computers at times (was on with Verizon tech support this morning).

Unfortunately, I don't see an IRIS support number, so you must have to call 1-800-827-1000.

You might try using a different browser i.e. Internet Explorer or Firefox.

I haven't been able to use it for 2 weeks....same CGI script error. I called the 800 number and the person said they couldn't send Inquiries either.

So I wonder if IRIS in going into a 2 month "maintenance" like the e-benefits sign up through my healthy vet.

On another note we will soon see more VA propaganda telling us that customer satisfaction went up the last two weeks of September as evidenced by the reduction in complaints from IRIS.

I'm still getting this error message. Called the 800# and was told an email would be sent to the VARO to which my issues with the birthdates (incorrect) on my latest decision needed to go...

I have the same problem also, called the 800# and they said they have problems to, this has been going on for two months for me.

I had the same error message. Waited a week --and then it worked fine. I did make one mistake which caused a glitch: I asked them to email me the response, but forgot to give them my email addy. Be sure to do that ;-) ~Wings

One way to find out if this problem is on your computer or the server (the VA IRIS system), go to a different computer, such as the library, and see if the problem repeats itself. Then it is unlikely to be a problem with your computer.

And, yes, I like the suggestion that you try a different browser...I sent an IRIS last week with google chrome browser, and it seemed to work good, except that I have not received a response from the VA yet.

Finally, try doing a disk cleanup, and disk defragmenter, and it would not hurt to clean your registry either.
