HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted December 27, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 27, 2010 Our COLA's are tied to Social Security. It's that simple. For the first time since I have been dealing with VA I think that maybe they deserve the bonus as it appears they actually have made some progress in helping Veterans. Just my opinion. Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
carlie
bronco, Why do you continue pissing and moaning about COLA's and bonuses. This is year after year. You know VA has nothing to do with the decision on no COLA's and you know how COLA's are figured. It's one thing to complain about something that the VA has control over but to complain about something like COLA's that they don't have control over is just a waste of time and breath AND you know this but just keep on pissing and moaning about it. This is getting old so find a new record to play. BTW - I'll bet that your 100% compensation funds hit the bank when it's supposed to each month. That's would actually be something positive you could at least consider once in awhile - but then when it comes to VBA I see you very rarely consider anything positive. Carlie passed away in November 2015 she is missed.
ArmyTexas
I concur, I don't think I've ever read a positive post from broncovet on this or any other site. He might be on the Naughty list. I think the VA's doing the best they can at this point with what they have to work with. There's always a Debbie Downer in the crowd and you can Identify them quickly. In this crowd it's broncovet. bronco, Why do you continue pissing and moaning about COLA's and bonuses. This is year after year. Well, the Bonuses are something I sometimes take umbrage with...., however the Government pays small bonuses to most employees and most of the time it's not very much and part of their comp package. I don't like to see the bonuses tied to production and more on quality. Production based bonuses provide the wrong incentive. That is a management problem Government wide and not just a VA issue. HadIt.com Elder Commander Bob Posted December 27, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) ADD these up: 1. Veterans copayments went up. 2. I too find it frustrating with the way of the world, "CEO, managers' bonuses vs. the line workers crumbs" syndrome. However, in this case you must admit we are talking apples and oranges... Best wishes for a very positive and happy new year, Cmdr. JHawks
I get a kick out of Broncovet's posts. If I wanted to read post after post on how wonderful the VA is and how great they handle claims I would go the the VA Website and read their press releases. 70% SC Disabled Vet
