Emg's And Cns's

I'm totally baffeled on this. First of all, I realize alot of test's aren't conclusive and to top it off is to pay out of pocket for it! I guess people like me expect to much when you have to pay for it. Truthfully tho, I had a EMG done on my left arm about a year ago, and the results showed CT left hand. But showed normal for the pain I have radiating from left shoulder down the arm. OK, with that said, I had a CNS done last week for the same issue and this time for the legs also, because of the sciatic nerve pains radiating thru my buttocks down the back of my thighs and calfs. Also my left leg goes totally dead for about 20 minutes. Not kidding, I was at a bar a couple years ago and got up to use the boy's room, walked about 10 feet and fell on my face (no I wasn't drunk, ha) my buddies had to carry me to the nearest chair. Had to sit there 20 minutes before I could stand and walk. Scared the livin daylights out of me! Anyway, the CNS results showed normal again, not even the CT. Can anybody share any info on this. I would not think so, because until recent years the diagnosis of fibromyalia was a "red flag" in emergency medicine. It was a diagnosis given to a person that was thought to be "faking" in order to get narcotics, because all the diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, nurve tests), were normal but the patient continued to complain of pain. More recently it is thought to be a complex condition not fully understood. I recommend you look it up to compare your symptoms to this disease.

Lesions can show up in the spine or brain. I have lesions in the brain. I have MS. My left leg has gone "dead" many times. I have "unexplained" pains, that are actually the brain getting confused, due to a short circuit from the nerves to the brain. Right now, I'm experiencing horrible shooting pains in the right forearm! I am not saying you have MS, but you do need to be made aware that your symptoms may not be related to your DDD.

Thank you very much WAC-Vet75 for helping me out on this. I was surfing the web for lesions after your last post yesterday and found alot of info. It kind of worried me when I was reading the symptoms it has.ha. I read there were quite a few causes. The MRI's on my back didn't mention any. You mentioned yours are in your brain, and you also have MS. Did the lesions cause your MS, or the other way around?
