I received the attached letter from the DAV. It details pending COLA legislation in the House and Senate: COLA - HR 1407 and S 894.

John, I like last years bull about the 25% raise. Sorry now I'll start my own rumor. Whatever...I still remember getting my first 10% check for $28...yes I'm old as dirt.

You know my father got a 10% disability check. I think it was $12 a month. He was a WWII vet. I got $28 for 10% like you back in 1971. I think 100% in those days was around $700 bucks a month.

In 1967 my wife and I got married and lived very well on 500 a month.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
