Would A C&p Hold Up My Award

Rate this question

Rob m

Question

I was awarded 80% with a decision date of 26 July (effective to 01 Feb 2011), the award letter stated the VA wanted to reevalute a scar (previously awarded 0%) . I have a scar C&P scheduled for later this month. My question is, why have I not seen a penny from my orginal claim/award? Are they waiting for the information from the scar C&P later this month before they decide to release funds? The retro is growing larger, but I need the $'s now. I would have thought I would have something by now.

Thanks

Do not ever miss a c and p exam.

If you miss it, you will wait even longer. Go get it done. As far as the awarded part of the claim, I would ask your rep to investigate. Usually they dont hold up claims for deferred issues but with the VA, anything is possible.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Do an IRIS request asking the staus of your funds. It i possble that someone forget to release the funds The scar should have been a deferred issuel.
