Claim Issue Disappears In Denial...

Question

Hello To All,

I have a question regarding a denial...wondering if anybody on the site has an idea of what this may be? My original claim for benefits was for PTSD, depression, and skin disorder. In a past denial, the skin disorder simply disappeared from the claim with no further mention of it. When I went to a hearing years ago and questioned it, it was put back as a claim. So, again there were the three noted. Now, in looking at a denial, I notice this time the depression claim has disappeared. There is no mention of it, not deferred, not anything, just not even mentioned, simply disappeared from VARO verbage. So, is it safe to presume they are deeming it denied, without mentioning that claim issue, or just another mess with this VA claim? Thank you for any responses.

well my claim for psycotic disorder ptsd was completed on the decision

it stated that ptsd and psycotic disorder were combined so i recieved 70 percent so

yes it is true they cant rate you for two mh disoders

well if the did alout more veterans would 1000 pt and they dont want that.

Psyco,

They only provide ONE rating for mental health - they combine the symptomology of comorbid

diagnosis to provide the highest percentage available per medical evidence.

A claimant will not receive separate ratings for different MH disabilities.

I'm a numbers person. Can only have one mental s/c disability. That could pay 100%-think I would go after that PTSD & they can make comments if depression, etc is part of that-doesn't really matter. JUST ONE pays anyway. Skin disorder if ever granted be, maybe 0%, 10%, 20% SC. Soo long story short I'd go after the 100% & that's where I would focus my time.

JMHO,

Don
