Good News? Bad New? Waco Texas Varo

Question

I really do not know if this will be good news for you or bad news for you if you live in North Texas. I just found out that the average days to complete a claim here with no issues is approximately 465 days. Now thats from initital to the release of the payment notification letter. All claims moving from rating to decision have an estimated completion date of 109 days. Moving from rating to final decision is about 51 days. I am currently on the desk of the rater patiently waiting in line. I di find out a question that did not get answered here . I asked if having surgery during the rating phase, can that possibly delay my claim. It will definatley delay my claim. Per Va, if I have surgery then I will be put on convalescent leave after. This will make the doctor HAVE to submit paperwork for the leave therefore making me 100% disabled for the duration of said leave. This WILL put brakes on the claim process. Now he did tell me that if I place it after the surgery then I MAY be able to miss being sent back to development. I do not know what I am going to do. I do know that that will be quite a bit of retro pay once this is completed due to it being since may 2011 when I filed. I guess that I should be blessed that I did NOT believe "Pain is weakness leaving the body" and CONSTANTLY complained while in enlisted. If I had not done that, I would feel the pain that alot of vets are going through.

That 51 days is actually from decision to notification phase. I do apologize

I don't know about your time. To say that they or anybody to say how long it take to go start to finish. It changes due to many things, and I don't know why or what!

Like my first claim took about 320 days PC, DMII, and IHD. My second claim took about 200 days to get PN, and P&T.

But then I seen some of these VET's take +600 days and God bless them. Mine went thru Waco, Wacko,Texas

I think its a Black Hole, if your lucky it will come out the other side????blink.png

It should go fairly smooth. I tried to explain everything on my shoulder at my c & p appointment but the Doc stopped me. He told me that it is thoroughly documented. The sad part is that mine will take longer due to my torn tendons and remote hill sachs deformity. Its getting really close to 365 days now. It went in on may 2011.
