they said they requestied the doc appointment last week? can i call any make it to expedite it?

Very doubtful.

ive allready filled out the form for info supporting my claim, and my reps are the DAV, but they seem to me to not know much at all. I have the joy of dealing with the Oakland regional office lol.

I am eligible for state disability? how do I apply, and how hard is it to receive it?

Check with your state to see if any help is available.

I have bulging discs, displaced nerves, lost hearing, PTSD, and depression and sleep problems.

Lastly, what percentage about do you think I should receive from VA for that?

Again, your profile shows you as "Service Connected Disability: 100 %", has the VBA adjudicated

you as such and granted SC compensation at this level ?

The first goal of concern is to get your issues SC'd -

then AFTER SC has been granted - the evaluation for percentage level and

effective dates come into play.

There is absolutely no accurate way to even guess

"what percentage about do you think I should receive from VA for that?"

If SC is granted you will be somewhere between zero and 100 percent.

Thank you very much for the help people

Jray,

If they are just now setting up your exams you still have a long wait ahead of you. If you cannot work, you should apply for SSDI. I do not know what state programs are available to you (we all live in different states).

Best regards,

Jray,

Unfortunately they could care less how long it is going to take. Your situation and your needs are not part of the VA's equation, nor is timeliness.

I caught myself yelling at my TV again last night. A representative was on "On the Record", talking about a program he and a senator are spearheading for donating rewards points for hotel stays. The program is Hotels for Hero's. I don't think it is a bad program but, I was obsessed with the thought, If they actually fixed the VA which is a responsibility they have as US CONGRESSMEN, instead of starting/managing charities it would help vets a whole lot more than a free stay in a hotel!

That free cruise you won

That Free Lunch

Yes I will still respect you in the morning

Your claim for benefits should take about a year!

Welcome to hadit. Their are many programs and benefits out there for you. The va claims process is a long and rough road. My claim was filed sept 2010 got a differed rating in Dec. 2011. I'm still pending all differed items.... Many vets on here have had claims lasting 5 yrs and such. All you can do is wait. You can request to expedite the claim some people will tell you you can not do this w/o financial hardship I.e. repo of car or utilities being shut off. This is not entirely true. I filed a request to expedite just telling them to hurry they heck up and they sent my claim to what is called in my regional office a special ops team. These are people who can make on the spot rating decisions to help with the claimant backlogs. Or I. Tour case request for financial hardship. But don't get your hopes set to high just because they expedite it doesnt mean it will Definetly move faster, just that it might. Also did you submit your claims with any evidence or just your word of mouth? Also Do you have a veterans service officer helping with your claim? As for ssdi that is just as rough a road have you filed for food stamps/ unemployment? Ssdi once grant has a 5month holding period in which then on the 6th they will release the funds. You got a long road to go but there are thousands of others walking down that path with you.. remember your not alone and keep hanging in there!

It may be a bit sooner it seems that as usual in Presidential Election years the pace picks up considerably and on Hadit we have seen many more awards than usual.

Good Luck

Once you have your C&P usually get a decision in 60 to 120 days.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
