Widow's Pension

My dad recently passed away and my mother was awarded a widow's pension with aid and attendance ...Sadly she passed away right after being awarded the pension...The Family payed for my mother's funeral..My question is will the VA reimburse us for the funeral and other medical bills we payed...I was told to fill out Form 21-601 for accrued benefits..I have not spoken to her VA rep yet..It's been a real rough time losing 3 family member's in 10 month's...

If you die from SC condition the VA will pay a certain amount for burial including coffin. You must die from SC condition, however, for full (VA standard) reimbursement. This is why death certificate is important and possible autopsy.
