Question

K I was awarded ssd, don't know why I got it yet but I got it in my first try, have an appointment with ss today, now I'm 90% va, 70% ptsd, 50 % sleep apnea, tbi pending, would my award from ssd help me get 100% from the VA, if I'm at 90 right now, but check this out, I'm going to a meb right now, with lod approve for sleep apnea and ptsd. Would my ssd help me with the va and army. Thanks.

I would take that SSDI info with me to the MEB,if I were you

Do you have a PEBLO (Physical Evaluation Board Liason Officer) or someone else helping you with the MEB and transition process?

In our TBI forum is the new proposed regulations involving TBI.

Did you get an inservice MRI on the TBI?

But maybe the VA will do that as a C & P exam.

I assume you have formally applied for TDIU with VA? (TDIU Total Disability due to Individual Unemployability),paid at the 10% rate of compensation.

Thank you for your service! That is a lot of disability to come out of the military with.

Make sure you have copies of your SMRs and personnel files when you leave the Mil.

Get contact info from some of your buddies too and see if your unit as a web site.

Some TBI vets need buddy statements to support how they got the TBI.

You probably wont need buddy statements at all but always a good idea to have contact with buddies after service.

Transition isn't always an easy task by any means.
