Question

I have a psychiatrist and a counselor I forgot the proper name for that counselor on the va, but they both keep saying they can't write any kind of note. And my primary doctor, can't eaither. For example, they believe my ptsd is long term but they said they can't write that on paper because they not aloud, I need some kind of backing from them to apply for iu, since they the ones that see me everyday. Any help or opinion?

Yep. Based on the assumption you deserve benefits and the VA docs wont provide a nexus, You need a "Veteran friendly" doctor and the ones you have are not. Tell them you want to change docs. They can do that..these docs just wont.

many VA docs will not write a separate IMO. However, they can add to your medical records. If they believe that the PTSD is permanent or they believ that you can not work because of your service concerned disabilities, have them place that in your records. The docs here at Fort Knox will do that. Or if you are attempting to get a disability service connected they also can add that to your records. that's the same as writing you a letter.

Remember, a diagnosis for PTSD now has to be from a VA psychiatrist to be service connected and compensated for.

Oh ok thanks for the advice, however how do I do it, do I tell them if they think I'm permanent, do I wait for them to tell me on their own, or ask them to put it on the records.

Ask them if they feel your SC'd conditions have an impact on you holding employment.
